King resists the urge to whine as he drags his feet on the footpath leading towards the top of the mountain. It isn't a mountain per se, but the beaten endless pathway is both high and slippery- probably because of soil erosion and dammit no human is supposed to climb this death trap!. Except Bohn seems to think it's a good idea to explore the wild in the middle of the day. King wipes the beads of sweat off his forehead before pushing his bangs back away from his eyes. Good thing there's rain coming soon. He doesn't want to spend time with Bohn out there in a potential accidental – murdering spot any more than it's strictly necessary. When Bohn looks back to check on him he tries to grin as sincerely as possible with the squeamish feeling of his chocolate-brownie cookie cream trying to make its way up his dry throat.

"We're almost there"

He sighs in relief when they finally get to the top, good fuckin gracious! He didn't think they'd make it!. Bohn stands at the edge of the cliff taking a deep comforting breath, hands ease at his sides and eyes closed. Seeming to appear as if he has no qualms about anything regarding his life whatsoever. Like he is not stripped off of a huge chunk of memories at the moment - or the fact that some untimed wind actually could not knock him over and break his fucking neck. And there's also the fact that King would not kick his ass because he's in love with him.

"Don't you think it's beautiful?"

He asks when King drags him a safe few feet distance away from the edge and stands by his side, eyes gentle and relaxed as he stares afar with a smile on his face.

King hasn't seen him this relaxed and carefree- or is that trust? since... well forever, maybe, painstakingly dissonant in a way that Bohn he used to see would never be. He stares at him at a loss wondering if it is possible if Bohn actually never changed in the first place.

What a stupid presumption. He readily shakes that thought off. So what was the bullying for? Bohn's only like this because he has lost his memories.

His breath hitches when fingers brush his fringes away and tuck a loose strand of hair behind his ear, even forgetting to retreat or bat the offending hand away when Bohn smiles and directs those warm eyes at him again. A gust of crisp air sweeps past them playing with their hair and clothes. King feels a rush of goosebumps erupting over his strangely heated skin.

It's only a matter of time. He gulps and breaks his gaze away faintly nodding in a lure of a reply. "It is..."

The view of the southern part of the city beyond the green, and the sight of the brilliant blue Chao Phraya river is simply breathtaking. The sunset should be astounding from there. But King doubts they'd stay long enough to see it. He follows Bohn and sits under the shade carelessly slumping on the comfortable grass heaving a content sigh.

They savor the moment in silence under the mellow sun, enjoying the quiet sounds and mild breeze. It's almost unearthly for Bohn to be so quiet. King shifts his head lightly to catch him drawing imaginary lines on the sky.

"I think I used to come here," Bohn whispers with a smile. "A week after I returned, I got bored with Mrs. Boonsri's class. The back gate was locked so I jumped the wall and strolled around for a while until I eventually walked here... yet, I don't suppose this is something I do often"

It's not phrased as a question. King looks away to trace a penguin on his own, lips slightly curling to a small smirk. "You don't..."

"You were never the type to sit still- or do mundane things like connecting with nature" Aware of the curious eyes on the side of his face King clears his throat and tries to elaborate. "When we were little you always tried to bribe me into ditching my 'idea of fun' to something that's more exciting and fun" A fond smile escapes his lips as he recalls the face of grumpy and pouty Bohn sulking beside him, he could almost picture those times like yesterday. He had forgotten how much he used to miss them. His smile fades as he drops his hand. "Maybe you picked it up overtime"
