Thankfully, the few hours of sleep were enough to endure Nakamori Aoko's shouts in the morning because it didn't give him a headache. And once again, Kaito found himself slumped in his seat, coffee with sugar coursing in his veins so he won't sleep through classes like he had done before which of course got him scolded.

Some time in between classes, other than reading the successful KID heist and basking in it's glory, Kaito had been searching up Sharon Vineyard which was pretty sparse except for a bit of basic information and the movies she had starred in.

It seemed that Sharon Vineyard was restrictive of information given out to the public, so much so that he failed to find any connection between her and his father via the Internet. He would have better luck asking his mother or Jii about Sharon Vineyard after all than relying on the Internet.

He did remember briefly that his father mentored people, in magic acts or arts of disguise. Indeed, he even remember giving a flower to a woman, but after that, Kaito was told he shouldn't disturb him when teaching. And respectful of his father even then, Kaito always does his own thing while his father was otherwise occupied with his students which explained his vague memories of them.

All the more reason to ask his mother or Jii, who would have better memories of that time than a young child himself back then.

What mattered now was that he needed to meet up Sharon Vineyard to know more about his father's doings back then, which was the reason why he searched her up in the first place, trying to find her address among other things.

That was proven useless when Sharon Vineyard had actually been dead some time ago. Natural causes apparently. It was a little shocking reading about her death but that's what all it was, because even if Sharon did have a connection with his parents, more specifically his father, she was basically a stranger to him in the end who he never truly connected over the years.

Sharon Vineyard did have a daughter, Chris Vineyard who still lives and is an actress like her mother. Also what's like mother like daughter was how restrictive Chris Vineyard is pertaining her information safe for anything basic and the movies she had appeared. To be so similar to each other despite the tidbit that they did not get along. Seems genetic then.

Now, Kaito was thinking of how to get to Chris Vineyard. Even the fact that mother and daughter have been distant, it seemed the mother willed all her assets to her daughter, every possession coming down to her. This was only a possibility, but maybe there might be any evidence of what Sharon had done about the syndicate after his father's death that can help him in the right direction that would be in Chris's possession. Same as his father left the evidence in that safe.

But how would he-

"KAITO!" Aoko shouted in Kaito's ear that made him jump out his seat in shock with his hairs standing up from that. Once Kaito regained his senses from that, he was fully aware of Aoko staring at him with a scowl on her face and a flash of concern in her eyes.

"Aoko has been calling you a million times!" Aoko huffed, "What was so important on your phone that you were staring at it like an idiot?"

"Just the usual, Ahoko," Kaito answered easily, turning off his phone before he addressed her properly, "So what's so important that you shouted my poor ear deaf?"

Kaito was rubbing a finger in that ear, still ringing from Aoko's shout. Aoko herself, without any remorse for said action, just crossed her arms and said, "It's time for lunch, Bakaito. And Aoko doesn't think you want to spend the whole lunch period staring at your phone when you could be eating your nice bento."

"Yeah, thanks a bunch, Aoko," Kaito responded a little snarky, taking out his bento to eat, "But next time try not shouting in my ear with that loud voice of yours. It's a surprise I haven't gone deaf."
