Harry’s POV:

I looked at my phone to check what time it was. 7:43 pm. I was done but I didn’t want to go down to the lobby yet. I was nervously pacing up and down the room when Louis walked in and sat on our bed.

“Calm down, mate. It’s a date, not your conviction.” He grinned as I glared at him. Louis chuckled and go up just as Liam walked in. “Looking good.” I nodded and looked around the room trying to collect my thoughts.

“Where are you taking her?” Liam asked.

“I was..” I cleared my throat. “Um, I was gonna take her to that one little restaurant we went to on our second night here. With the red tables..” He nodded. “Sounds good. She’s gonna like it. Don’t sweat it. It’ll be alright.” I gave him a half smile thankful for his little pep talk.

I went to the bathroom to take a last look at myself before leaving. I wore dark jeans a button up shirt and my favorite greyish blazer. I still hadn’t found my white chucks so I settled for some black ones. You just couldn’t go wrong with chucks. Could you? Stop it, Harry. She wore some, too yesterday for the concert. Calm down! I took a deep breath, ran my hand through my hair and walked out of the bathroom.

Liam and Louis were still sitting on the bed. They were laughing quietly when I got back in the room. “What?” I asked thinking they were laughing about my appearance. “Is it too much? Too dressy?” They grinned at each other and then Louis got up. He walked over to me and put both his hands on my shoulders.

“Nothing’s wrong. You look good. She’s gonna love the outfit, she’s gonna love the restaurant and she’s gonna love you. Nothing to worry about.” He spoke slowly making sure I got every word. I nodded. “Now just promise me one thing.” He said and let go of my shoulders. “No. I said I wasn’t going to take your advice anymore. So I’m afraid, no.” He looked at me with big eyes. Maybe I had been to harsh because he actually looked somewhat hurt.

“What is it?” I asked and saw his face lighten up immediately. “Promise me to never love her more than me.” “Gosh, Louis. Sometimes you’re just so..” I didn’t know what to say. He was being ridiculous and he knew he was. He smiled widely and I just turned around and walked towards the door. Hanging out with my lads was fun most of the time but could really drive you crazy.

When I reached the door I heard Liam call my name and paused a little. I opened the door slowly and heard him yell. “Hazza, don’t forget: Harry Styles always kisses on the first date.”

I walked out and closed the door ignoring his comment. Like I would forget about that. I couldn’t help but smile when I got into the elevator.

I checked my phone again. 7:58 pm. The elevator stopped moving when it reached the lobby. I took a deep breath and then heard a quiet ‘ping’ before the elevator doors opened. I walked into the lobby and was relieved not to see any fans around. It usually didn’t take them long to figure out which hotel we were staying at, but it looked like this time we got lucky. Three days in a row and no mob yet. Maybe people in this part of America weren’t as crazy.

I looked around to see if Hannah was there already. I pulled my sleeve nervously walking around a little thinking about her. What if she was dressed a lot more dressy than me? Or a lot more casual? The restaurant we were going to go wasn’t exactly formal but it wasn’t a ‘jeans and t-shirt’ kind of place either. I didn’t tell her to dress up though. My thoughts were running wild going through all possibilities. I bet she’s not going to come. Or she was joking yesterday and brings her boyfriend along today. Or maybe she was nothing like I remembered her.. not funny and flirty. Not cute and good looking.

Well.. I was wrong. When I spotted her she was sitting by a fountain. My jaw dropped. She was playing with her hand in the water and looked like angel. Wait, what? What the hell was I thinking? I closed my mouth and forced myself to walk over to her.
