Chapter 1

Sage's Pov

"Am I the only one who want to enjoy a nice ice cream after the mission?" Sage says to her ear communicator, knocking out some soldiers using her magic.

Her dark green hair is swinging in the air like a flag every time Steve speeds up the bike where she is taking the lift on the back.

"I'm in, witchy." Tony says. 

"Me too." Natasha adds.

"You people are going to eat ice cream without me, huh?" Clint joins the conversation. 

"My poor old man."

"Shit!" Tony cursed. Sage looks up to notice that Tony has just bounced off of some kind of force field.

"Language!" Steve speaks. "JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?"

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any other Hydra base we've taken." Jarvis responses.

"Loki's scepter must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last." Thor adds.

"Thank you for the lift, Cap. I'll take myself out from here." Sage says to Steve, patting his shoulder lightly before using her ability to fly to jump out of the motorbike.

Natasha knocks out some soldiers. "At long last is lasting a little long, boys."

"Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise." Clint says.

"Wait a second. No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language?"

"I know." Steve throws his bike at some soldiers driving up in their truck. "It just slipped out."

"Nat, you need to see what I am seeing right now." Clint says to his ear communicator.

Sage continues to release energy waves from her hands. 

Soldiers draw their weapon and begin to advance on her. Sage simply blasts her energy down, causing the metal to snap and the soldiers to be incapacitated. 

"I need help." 

She hears Clint's voice, waiting for a response.

"On my way." She and Natasha unexpectedly say in unison.

"We have an enhanced in the field." Steve announces. "Basically, he is running around like a flash knocking everyone who gets in his way."

"What a bastard?" Sage lands next to Clint using her emerald gift and sees the redhead in her friend's arms.

Clint advises her. "I'll go for him. Just take care of her until Nat comes." 

"Of course." 

"I'll be back, okay?" Clint says to the redhead, which she nods weakly. 

He sets her on the ground once again, when another redhead appears.

"I'll stay with her. You go and help others." Natasha says to the emerald witch.

Sage nods and flies forward with her magic, fighting with the soldiers proceeding to take on them, attacking individually. Each fight only lasts a few seconds, but always results in Sage dominating.

A flash like silver light zooms past Sage, kissing her cheek making her look at the way it went with full of confusion. 

"You didn't see that coming?" 

She snaps her head at the unfamiliar voice when Pietro knocks down Sage as he speeds past her. But this time she uses her magic to disable his power for a second and throws him into a tree.
