A spell had been cast around Freya’s room so that vampires couldn’t enter without an invite and no one outside the room could hear what was happening. That was where the ladies met up to plan for the next move since Rebekah received a message from the vampire she had compelled to spy on Tristan.
“they can’t hear us now,” Freya confirmed then turned to Rebekah “what did the message say?” she asked
“he took a picture of the woman meeting with Tristan,” she responded and showed them the photo
“I know her, she always undermined Vincent’s leadership,” Freya confirmed “her name is Angelica and she lives in an apartment above her herbal shop, am sure its spelled to protect herself against vampires.”
“so all I have to do is go in with the artifact and pretend to be buying something, once she’s close enough you can do the spell from outside the shop right?” Caroline asked them and the three witches nodded. “Great, give it to me.”
The plan sounded simple enough and with Freya’s protection spell she was assured of not dying so that was comforting, once Angelica’s powers had been sucked out whatever spell was protecting her shop and apartment would break and Rebekah could whoosh in and grab her or one of the witches could render her unconscious with a spell and bring her to the compound to be interrogated.
Caroline changed into boyfriend jeans and a t-shirt then grabbed a small back with the sling on her shoulder. She had left her car in mystic falls so she drove with Davina while Bonnie stayed with Freya and Rebekah. When they arrived in the busy center of the city the artifact was put in her bag and she walked towards the shop, Freya Bonnie and Davina put themselves under a cloaking spell and followed her up to the entrance.
Caroline entered the shop and started looking around, checking the shelves while looking out for Angelica . a few minutes passed and she was not appearing, Freya’s attention was shifted when she heard Camille screaming in the middle of the street.
“oh my gosh, we have to help her!” she exclaimed, Camille was surrounded by three witches who were giving her a migraine and making her bleed.
“if one of us moves away the cloaking spell will be broken,” Bonnie reminded them.
“its Camille, and maybe Angelica isn’t even here,” Davina protested and they broke the spell, rushing to Camille’s aid. The witches had been expecting Bonnie and Freya whom they quickly attacked but Davina was a surprise and she easily rendered them unconscious then grabbed Camille, taking her to the car with Rebekah whom they found daggered.
“oh my gosh! How did this happen?” Freya pulled out the dagger “how did Klaus’s daggers even end up here?” she looked around but no one seemed to be watching them.
“we have to check on Caroline,” Bonnie ran to the shop but Caroline wasn’t in there, she looked around and only a few customers were there with Angelica’s assistant. When she questioned her, the girl seemed blank and clueless, saying she didn’t remember seeing any blonde walk in.
“we have to find her, she’s human with no magic,” Bonnie started panicking in the middle of the street. Freya walked up to her, putting her hands on her shoulders.
“hey look at me, I put a protection spell on her remember? She’s not going to die. We just have to go home and try a location spell,” she said trying to remain level headed
“Nik will kill us,” said Rebekah who was now up “and what happens if Caroline has been clocked and you can’t locate her?”
“look, she was in the shop just a few minutes ago. Whoever took her couldn’t have gone far, maybe she’s even in Angelica’s apartment or basement,” said Davina “I can try and locate her right now if we have something which belongs to her,” she told them and they just stared at each other.
“how about my blood?” Rebekah asked “she’s carrying Nik’s child whom I share blood with, you locate the baby, you locate Caroline.”
“yeah, that could work,” Davina nodded and Rebekah pulled out her vampire fangs to cut into her hand and give Davina the blood and she started performing the spell in an alley but she wasn’t getting a clear vision. “ Klaus’s blood may be more accurate,” she let out a dejected sigh.

Caroline opened her eyes and found herself in a basement with a tiny window at the top letting in a few rays of light. She was strapped to a very uncomfortable chair and the rope was chaffing her wrists.
“did you really think I wouldn’t recognize you?” Angelica asked, she was by a table crushing heads into a wooden bowl “I know everyone in Klaus’s circle,” she bragged.
“how did you know about me?” Caroline asked as she eyed her bag, which had been tossed on a worn out arm chair, was the artifact still in there?
“A little red bird told me,” Angelica smirked
“Aurora,” Caroline said with gritted teeth, that bitch was becoming the bane of her existence “you helped her turn me human didn’t you?” Angelica didn’t respond “where is she? I need to have a chat with her…” Caroline was looking around as she spoke, trying to find a way out of this mess. She knew Klaus would be mad at her, he specifically told them not to do this but they disobeyed him and the very thing he feared had come to pass.
“Oh she’s long gone,” Angelica smiled and came closer, grabbing her hand and cutting it, making the blood drop in the bowl.
“What are you doing?” Caroline questioned as she tried not to dwell on the pain, oh how she missed instantaneous healing. She knew a witch getting your blood was never a good thing.
“since you have a protection spell which will take me days to figure out and break, I figured I might as well link myself to you. That way Klaus wont kill me even if he finds me,” she chuckled and forced a portion down Caroline’s throat then drunk up too and started performing the linking spell.
.
.
Freya was shoved hard against the wall, his hand tight around her neck.
“I specifically told you not to involve her in this,” Klaus growled, his eyes becoming golden yellow. Rebekah was yelling for him to stop in the background but he had blocked her out, Elijah tried to tear him off of their sister but he pushed him away and threatened to bite him if he interrupted again.
“Nik… please.. just..” Freya brought her hand to his wrist, trying to loosen the grip but it was useless. Suddenly a migraine attacked Klaus and he screamed backing away, he went down on his knees and found Bonnie standing before him.
“.Leave her alone Klaus,” she warned with a fierce look.
“yeah sure, go ahead and side with the woman who put your best friend’s life on danger, if she dies her blood is on your hands and I’ll make all of you pay!” he roared and they flinched back, Bonnie feeling guilty.
“we’re going to find her Klaus, its not just Freya’s fault. We all planned this, we thought it would work,” Bonnie tried to explain
“… and she has a protection spell, she wont get killed,” Rebekah reminded him.
“Spells get broken all the time,” he pointed warningly at them “if anything happens to her, get ready to run for the rest of your lives,” he warned and whooshed out of the house.
“How could you Bon?” Stefan chastised “using Care as bait? Even when you know she’s human and pregnant?” he shook his head in disappointment and walked out hoping he may be able to hear something in a bar or on the streets, anything to track Care down, Rebekah tried to follow him but he stopped her “don’t, I’ll do this on my own,” he said and rushed out.
“She’s gonna be okay right?” Bonnie asked as she wiped the single tear which had fallen, the ramifications of what had transpired suddenly hitting her.
“We’ll find her,” Freya assured her “thanks for coming to my rescue from Klaus,” she said and Bonnie just nodded.
.
.
Marcel had taken Camille back to her spelled apartment and he refused to leave her side even when she begged him to go and check on Klaus.
“He has a lot of people with him, am not leaving you here alone,” he maintained.
.
That night Klaus drained three tourists, killed five vampires when they didn’t give him the answers he was looking for, one witch he stumbled upon alone and torched a building he believed was one of Tristan’s.
