Yibo after having some evening snacks with zanalia passed out for few hours before heading towards the bridge again to carry out his duties. He personally went to greet and welcome the people who clicked several pictures with him and gifted him some presents.
He was a handsome and a young captain who was loved by everyone. He never once, mistreated anyone but always did his best he could for others. Rather than depending and imposing his commissions on his juniors, he believed to rely on himself and handling everything under his vigilant eyes. He believes that being watchful and precocious is better than regretting in future. The sea and that ship was his family and he loved to travel and sail.
Handing over the night shift to the chief and the second officer for few hours, he freshened up quickly and poured himself a glass of wine before walking towards the bow of the ship to enjoy his drink in peace. Keeping his elbows over the handrail, he slightly bent and closed his eyes to enjoy the cool and salty ocean breeze, a smile broke onto his glossy lips when he heard the ship cutting through the water waves. He hummed a sweet tune and sipped the wine unaware of two eyes who were watching all his activities in amusement.
Zhan cleared his throat and advanced towards yibo who flinched due to the sudden movements around him. Yibo altered his stance and looked at his back for a second, until their eyes met, but returned to his previous position again. Zhan's heart stopped when he saw the beautiful face of yibo, who was looking so ethereal and reserved due to his aloof look. He smiled and scratched his nape, coming near yibo he stood beside him and copied his pose. He felt so good when the sounds of water waves and cool winds calmed his nerves down. He looked upwards towards the sky and felt so pacific when stars twinkled in the night sky above him. Who said that only light represent heavens, even the dark sky can make you feel serene and placid.
"You are so lucky!" Zhan exclaimed and nudged yibo.
"...." Yibo shifted his tranquil gaze towards the man who disturbed his peace, but still he didn't feel angry or disturbed rather first time he felt contented that someone wanted to initiate some sort of conversation with him. Yibo being an introvert, never spoke unless necessary, he built a boundary around him and he loves his own company.
"Why do you think so?" After some time he finally spoke in a gentle voice but his eyes were focused on the curling waters ahead.
Zhan chuckled "of course you are, you get to live these best moments of your life. I never thought an ocean could be this beautiful, I can die here without any regrets haha"
"Really? But you will call this same ocean merciless and scary if it engulfs you in its depths" yibo chuckled bitterly and sipped the wine.
"Aish I was just kidding. By the way hi, i am Xiao Zhan"
'xiao zhan, the vip on our ship' yibo nodded in acknowledgment and continued sipping his wine.
"You are Wang yibo, the captain of this ship right? By the way this uniform suits you." Zhan dusted off the invisible dust on yibo's shoulders and the latter just looked at him in shock.
"Yibo.."
"Mn"
"Don't you feel seasick?"
"I do sometimes. But.. i love being here"
"Hm" The two fell into a silence and enjoyed the peaceful environment for few minutes.
"Sir! Aren't you joining others for dinner?" Yibo broke the silence and asked him in civility. He can't build any personal relationships on the ship, for he hates being unprofessional and giving people a reason to raise fingers at him.
