False Beauty (Chrollo x Kurapika)

Part 2

Chrollo pov

I walked up to the Chain user making him hiss at me like a cat and make a sad attempt at using nen.

"Don't waste your energy like that, that chain around you is like your own chains, it puts you in a state of zetsu." I explain to the blonde. He just glared back and told me to leave him alone to which I laughed at.

"What's so funny?" the blonde snapped.

"I think that you simply telling me to leave you alone is funny. You can't expect me to just let you free right?" I say holding back another short laugh. Kurapika said nothing but hissed yet again when I stepped close enough to touch him. I reach my hand out knowing he'd pull back which to no surprise he did. 

"Get away from me." He shouted swatting my hand away. I sigh, I knew I should've gotten my hopes up. I guess I hoped that the drink from yesterday still had an affect on him.

"Alright then. I'll leave you here for awhile. Machi will come and check on you later in the day. Do you want anything? A book, paper and pencil-" the boy cut me off.

"I don't need anything thank you very much." he said turning around and looking back out the window. I turn on my heel and exit the room heading to inform Machi of her duty to check up on the Kurta. 

Kurapika pov

I tried for hours to break the windows and attempt to reach the door. I looked for every single way out of the room. Nothing gave way and it was becoming more and more apparent that I was stuck until I was interrogated. 

I think about Leorio, Gon and Killua. They'd probably be really worried for me right now. I panic at the thought of them coming to 'rescue' me or something. I shake my head rubbing away idea, as I did this the door opened making me get defensive. Machi strode through the room looking at me and my expression.

"What's got you all worked up? It's just going to be a few questions. Who knows the boss might even let you live." she grumbled while grabbing a hold of my ankle chain and forcing me to come closer to her. She began to check me for injuries which I had none of. 

"I don't see the point in doing this weird check up." I snap at her she snapped back.

"I don't see the point either but since the boss wants you unharmed and well fed I have no choice but to do this. No shut up and stay here while I get food for you." Machi growled leaving the room. It's not like I could go anywhere. 

~time skip~

The next morning I woke up to the sound of breathe over my face along with something tickling my eyelids. I blink my eyes and widen them the moment I saw dark orbs staring at me. I push the man away from me and sit up quickly. Why was he so close to me and why was my heart racing a mile a minute? 

"Looks like that woke you up. Well come on now Kurapika, it's time for your interrogation."

Leorio pov

I paced around the room nervously. What happened to Kurapika? He just disappeared in the bar two days three days ago! Killua and Gon were out looking for him and I was yet again attempting to contact the Kurta in anyway possible. Phone calls with many messages of worry, by screaming his name around town like a mad man, I had even asked every single person I saw if they had seen someone who looked like Kurapika. He had just poofed out of existence. 

"Where the hell are you?" I yell at the air in front of me. Anger and fear filled me. If anything happened to my friend just because I had forced him into a bar and got him....a bit drunk then I'd never forgive myself. I type his number in one last time letting each ring sound harshly in my ear. My mouth was dry and I heard the hotel door open. I assumed it was Gon and Killua so I didn't turn around. The last and final ring went off and then gave me a few sad beeping alerting me that my friend wasn't available. I smash my phone to the ground in rage.

"Don't be like that." a voice said behind me. I turn to see a shortish man with black hair and-

everything went black.
