Since that day those lions came to my house, I've managed to live off what grandma gave me for a week and a half before the militia came back. I didn't expect to be given a lot of old, nice furniture.

"I apologize for this old furniture but I know at least it'll help you get back on your feet." The lion from before apologized for the furniture he thinks is awful. It's leather and absolutely beautiful though. Just a few stains here and there and maybe a tiny hole but so beautiful still. They even brought a rug! And a kitchen table and a fridge. A fridge! I didn't know they had electricity here! Even running water!

"This is really amazing, thank you" I smiled at the lion as I looked around this place. Downstairs is a living room while upstairs is my bedroom and kitchen. It's so amazing.

"It's the best we could do. Here in Republic Kingdom, there are many children without parents and end up in orphanages but you are almost 18. For now you'll be given an allowance till you turn 18. By then, you must have a job. If it pays well enough you'll have bills, if not, we'll continue to help out longer." He explained to me, "but you have to go to school as well. It's the law." He explained and was serious.

"Oh, uh, I can't keep homeschooling?.." I asked and felt extremely nervous. Now I might have messed up.. Maybe I should've ran away..

"It is prohibited." He shook his head, "You'll be given a school issued uniform, one to accommodate to your wings. Starting tomorrow you will begin school. It's already been set up, once you arrive you'll be given your uniform," This is-.. Overwhelming..

"W-Wait, tomorrow? I'm not even settled in here and I don't even know where the school is!" I exclaimed quickly as everyone began to leave my home that was now newly refurbished but still without windows..

"Not to worry, the class rep will come to find you tomorrow morning. Have a good night miss Ophelia" the lion said before walking right out the door and shutting it.

"Awe, really?.." I muttered and slapped my forehead and sat down on this couch. "At least I have this.." I mumbled and looked around me at all the new things. It doesn't entirely match but I can deal with that.

That night I realized they never told me when I should be ready for school and I wasn't given an alarm clock..
The next day came far too quickly. I had no problems last night but now I have to go to a school with a bunch of animal and bug people.. I think I'm going to be sick..

"Hello? Uh, I'm looking for Ophia Knight" a girl called downstairs.

"It's Ophelia.." I muttered as I got out of bed with a sigh. I can hear her from upstairs thanks to the holes in my walls.. I went down stairs and opened the door with a forced smile. There stood a girl with giant bunny ears flopped down over her face.

"My name is Laven, it's nice to meet you Ophia" the girl smiled and held out her normal human hand for me to shake.

"It's actually Ophelia, but it's nice to meet you too" I smiled and shook her hand awkwardly.

"Oh! Sorry," she giggled, "We should be on our way now" she smiled at me. I was already dressed in bed with my shoes on and everything, I woke up super early because I was scared I'd be late somehow. I guess I don't have an alarm clock yet so..

"Yeah, I'm ready" I let her know as I walked outside for the first time since I woke up here. I turned around to shut the door but I wacked the poor girl in the face with my wings! She stumbled back some like that other guy did last week but at least I didn't hit her hard, I think. "O-Oh! I'm sorry, Laven!" I apologized quickly and went to help her get stable again.

"I've never seen wings as big as yours!" She gasped out of nowhere. "I knew butterflies had big wings sometimes but not even I've seen them like this! They're bigger than Ryus and he's a dragon!" She exclaimed while my eyes widened. Ryu?.. It means dragon in Japanese but I didn't think those were actually real. I guess what that guy who helped me out of trouble my first night said was true.
