Zac and Mimmi: A Mako Mermaids story

Part 4 : First Day

It was Mimmi's first day of school, she was going to be a Junior in high school!
"Hey Zac?"
"Mhm?"
"Do you think a white shirt or a yellow shirt would match with these trousers?"
Zac looked up from his video game reluctantly, and scanned the shirts.
"Uhhh the yellow" he said, looking back at his game
"Thanks" Mimmi said. She noticed his lack of attention and decided to joke a bit.
"I will also be purchasing a toilet, and then I will be coming home riding on an elephant who happens to be our uncle, sounds good?"
"Yeah sounds good sis" Zac said absentmindedly not looking up from his screen.
Mimmi just chuckled, "boys and their video games."

Mimmi went down to breakfast with a spring in her step.
"You look cheery! I made an extra special breakfast right here for you."
Lauren set in front of Mimmi the most mouth watering platter of sausages, fried eggs and bacon that you could ever dream of!
"Thanks mum! Breakfast is delicious today!"

"Oh it's nothing dear, I just wanted to make sure your day started as good as possible. Promise me that you will talk to me or Zac if anything goes wrong ok?" Lauren sounded nervous
"I promise" Mimmi said reassuringly.
Zac then came stumbling down the stairs looking disoriented.
"Oooh!" He rubbed his hands together, "breakfast smells wonderful mum! I'm ravenous!"

An hour later Zac and Mimmi were about to leave for school.
"Bye kids! Do me a favour and try not to spill any water on yourselves." Lauren added pleadingly.
"We won't" Mimmi said
"Bye mum" Zac said

And off they went to school
