Zac and Mimmi: A Mako Mermaids story

Part 3: The New Room

This is going to be a short chapter, I'm just going through writer's block right now 😅 Anyways, hope you all enjoy!

"You're fish, and she's a fish!"

"Yes dad, we're merpeople"

Lauren smiled and said,
"Can I touch it?"

Zac chuckled lightly and said, "Sure!"

She got onto her knees and caressed Zac's blue scales
"Oh wow! They are so slippery! They feel like a fish's scales!"

Zac and Mimmi laughed

"So how do you change back into your legs?" said Lauren in awe.

"Look"

With a glance at his sister, the twins both raised their arms and started drying their tails. A cloud of steam rose up above them, and soon enough they were back to their human form. They got up from the floor and sat back on the couch, leaving a beaming Lauren and a scowling Rob.

"Dad?" Zac said after a few moments of silence.
Rob's scowl turned into a smile, "Come here you two!" Rob embraced the twins in a tight hug and chuckled. The day was turning out better than expected.

Later that day at the Ocean Cafe, Zac, Mimmi, Carly, Evie, Ondina and Weilan were all sitting around a table chatting, when Carly blurted out "How did it go with your parents Zac?"

Zac and Mimmi faked a sad expression until Zac said, "It was brilliant, they're so happy!"

The whole table got up and cheered for the twins!

"I finally have parents!" Mimmi said.

Later in the day, Zac and Mimmi were hanging out in Zac's room when they heard a knock on the door, "Come in." Zac said
Lauren came in and beamed when she saw Mimmi, "Mimmi! Just the right time! I wanted to ask if you wanted to live with us? Like, you know, now that you're officially part of the family?"

Mimmi beamed and got up to hug Lauren, "Yes I would love to Mrs Blakely!"

"You're my daughter now, call me mum!" Lauren said

"Alright, mum." Mimmi said, beaming.

"Let me show you to your bed dear." Lauren said gesturing Mimmi to follow her.

"Uhm there might be a slight problem..." Mimmi said, her face reddening.

"What do you mean?" Lauren said confused

"I sort of... may.... sleep in the water..." Mimmi said fumbling with her fingers. "But I would love a bedroom still!"

"Alright then, let me show you to your bedroom." Lauren said, chuckling.

Before exiting the room followd by Mimmi, Lauren turned around to face Zac, "Hey Zac, why don't you sleep in the water?"

Zac looked up at his mum, "I just prefer to sleep comfortably in my dry bed."

Mimmi rolled her eyes.

As Lauren and Mimmi entered Mimmi's new room, Mimmi beamed and went to look around. It was beautiful! The room was painted a pastel purple with white and purple flowers brightening up the room. There lay her bed, a beautiful canopy. She giggled with delight and ran and leaped onto her bed. Zac came in the room,
"How did I never know how beautiful this room was?! Mimmi I'm jealous!" He laughed

"I might just try to get used to sleeping on land actually." Mimmi said closing her eyes and still beaming, making snow angels on the bed.

Zac and Lauren laughed.

"Whatever you want sweetie." Lauren giggled.
