Previously...

I was walking through the alleys – on my way home – when Marcel appeared in front of me. "What were you doing at the church?"

I wasn't really surprised he could sense me. I shrugged my shoulders. "Paying my respects to God".

I took a step to walk past him, but he gripped my arm tightly to stop me. "Don't lie to me!"

I yanked my arm away then slammed him into the wall, my arm holding him in place. "I'm older, and that means stronger. Do not test my patience, Marcellus!"

The two of us stayed still, neither one of us backing down.

Suddenly, our faces broke into smiles as I let him go and we exchanged a hug. Marcel and I were fairly close when I lived here. In fact, I was Rebekah and Marcel's biggest shipper and the only one they trusted to keep their relationship a secret.

"It's good to see you again," I said into his ear.

We pulled away, but he kept his grip on my arms. "Why haven't you come to see me?".

I sent an apologetic look. "I apologise, I've simply been far too busy". I looked around. "So, 'King of the Quarter,' you've done well since we last saw each other. How did you do it?"

He gestured to the road with his head. "Come on, I'll tell you about it over drinks".

Excited to finally catch up with my old friend (and possibly gather some intel for Nik), I nodded and followed him out the alley.

He led me to Big Auggie's Bayou Bar. We spent an hour or so exchanging stories of our adventures throughout the past 90 years.

We were interrupted by Nik walking through the door.

He looked back and forth between us. "Am I interrupting?"

I sent him a smug smile. "Hello, brother. Marcellus and I were just getting reacquainted".

Suddenly, his phone rang, possibly saving me from a lecture. It wasn't long before he came back.

"Everything okay?" Marcel asked, feigning concern.

Nik shrugged his shoulders. "Oh, just the usual. Temperamental sister".

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well, I'll be leaving now," I said, seeing that Klaus didn't want me involved in this.

Suddenly, Marcel pulled me back to my seat. "Stay. We're not talking about anything too secretive, right Klaus?" He turned to Nik with a raised eyebrow.

I snickered at Klaus, who looked like he wanted to kill me before he put on a fake smile and gestured to my seat. "Yes, sister, please". That was all I need to sit back down.

With that, Klaus turned to Marcel. "Where's your informant?"

"Tomas?" Marcel shrugged his shoulders. "He's out sniffing around. Grab a drink, and then we'll chase him down".

"Well, I suppose it will give us a chance to talk things over, like why you haven't returned Elijah. Maybe your young witch has grown partial to his company? She must get so bored".

I feigned confusion, knowing that I wasn't supposed to know about it. "'Young witch?'"

Klaus put on a smug smile. "Your old friend didn't tell you? He's got Elijah somewhere, guarded by a powerful, young witch".

I gave Marcel an impressed look. "And where is this 'witch' residing?"

Marcel rolled his eyes. "Why're you so curious about Davina?"
