How Do I Get Him Back?

Chapter 1

      “Baby, come here! I gotta show you something!,” Anthony called his girlfriend, Amina. He wanted to show her this ring he bought her. “Wait, I’m busy”, she yelled back. Once she was into a book, her and her attention were unavailable. When 20 minutes went by and he realized that she was never getting up to see why he was calling her, he decided to propose to her and just surprise her one of these upcoming days. Anthony Love and Amina Richards have been together for 5 years and they are currently living together. They were planning on having kids. Anthony wants 2, possibly twins. Anthony is 25 and is a paraprofessional and Amina is 23 and a doctor at a hospital close to their home. They crossed paths because Anthony used to be Amina’s younger sister’s para and she was going to pick her up from school. Anthony liked what he saw , asked for her number and they have been hanging out since then. They met each other’s parents 8 months after they were together. Anthony’s parents adored her and felt like she was great for their son. When Anthony met Amina’s parents, he was really nervous. He knew her father was over protective over his daughter and he also heard he didn’t play any games. 

       Anthony didn’t want any problems with her family. So he was a gentleman at all times. He got up to see where she was and what she was doing. He peeked in their bedroom and saw her sleeping. “How’d I know she was sleeping?”, he said to himself. He decided to lay up next to her and just go to sleep. Anthony woke up at 3 a.m. because he had to use the bathroom. He had this weird dream that his future fiance was cheating on him and was pregnant. It gave him a bad feeling but he knew his girlfriend, knew she was faithful to him at all times and she would never keep anything from him. He brushed off the dream and then played his game until he got tired . Minutes later, he was sleeping. 

       The next morning, Amina was getting ready for work. As she was getting ready, she heard a phone buzz. She knew it couldn’t be hers because it was on do not disturb. When she looked over on Anthony’s side, she saw his phone was lit up. She wondered who would be texting his phone so early. She wanted to wake him up and ask him but that would have been too much. Amina decided to check his phone and see for herself. When she picked it up, she read, “ I had fun with you the other night. Let’s do it again”. She felt herself getting angry. She wanted to smack him out of his sleep but she decided against it and would rather talk about it with him after work.

      The whole time she was at work, her mind was on Anthony and whatever lame sent that text. She saw his name pop up on her phone whether it was him calling or texting and she denied the calls. He left voicemails but she didn’t care. She didn’t feel like talking to him right now because she wasn’t sure what to say to him. “Why would he need to see someone else? Who is this female? What does she have that Amina doesn’t? Why didn’t he tell her about it? Does this female know about her?”, were all the questions that were running through her head. She never thought that Anthony would cheat on her. 

       Instead of asking about it, she had her own plan. Amina decided to do the same shit. She was sure that it would hurt him more than it hurt her. She called up her ex best friend, Troy. Troy liked Amina since they were kids and was jealous when Anthony came around. So when he saw Amina’s name pop up on his phone, he was surprised but also excited. “Hello there, long time no speak. How have you been?”, he answered. “Heyy. And yeah, I've just been busy with work and my relationship. I’m sorry for being so distant. Everything is going okay. How’s everything with you?”, she answered. “Well, I’ve been focused on work and I've just been chilling. But wassup? What’s on your mind? I know you didn’t call to have small talk”, he said. Troy knew Amina called for something because her call was random and he just knew something was up. Troy knew Amina better than she knew herself. “Damn, I hate that you know me so well. But I was just wondering if you wanted to do something this Saturday and catch up ?”, Amina lied. 

       She knew Troy was going to be with whatever because he was obsessed with her and was always in love with her. She always kept him as a friend because she didn’t look at him as anything more. “Mina Beans, I have nothing planned. What do you wanna do?”, he asked. “Well, we can catch a movie and then I can cook. You can come over at 10 or 10:30”, she told him. “Okay, no problem, I’m going to text you. I gotta go cover this shift,” he said then he hung up. Her plan was going the way she wanted it to but she felt a little guilty because in a way she was playing with Troy’s emotions and using him to get back at her man. She also didn’t care because she needed her revenge and wanted to teach her boyfriend a lesson.
