Chapter 4

After school
Ashley, Bailey and I are walking around the mall together when Bailey stops Ash and I
Y/n- what?
Bailey- look there's a sale at (whatever your favourite store is)
Ashley- let's go innnn
We walk over and into the store, Bailey and Ashley practically run in and start looking at stuff near the back of the store, I start looking through racks at the front of the store when I find a cute dress that I like I take it off the rack having a closer look
???- that would look amazing on you
I freak out and turn to see troy standing there (this mf really trying to scare us to death)
Y/n- omg Troy you scared me
Troy- oh shit sorry
Y/n- nah it's all good, oh uh but what are you doing here?
Troy- me and the boys decided to come to the mall after school
Y/n- are you sure it's not cause you wanted to see me?
Troy- well it might be related to that but we all wanted to come down
As troys talking my mind starts to wonder and then I remember if Troy's here with his friends that means Vinnie's here
Y/n- shit, wait is Vinnie here?
Troy- uh yeah
Y/n- he's going to kill us if he sees us together!
Troy- oh shit
(Troy really didn't think about that huh)
Y/n- where is he?
Troy- Um well probably around here somewhere I left everyone to come talk to you
I grab Troy's hand and drag him to the back of the store to a dressing room and I close the door behind us
Y/n- so what are we going to do? We can't let him see us together or he'll go all protective mode on me again
Troy- well I mean I could just leave the store and you just stay here for a bit
Y/n- that could work
As we're talking there's knocks on the dressing room door
Vinnie- Troy are you in there?
I look to Troy and he just puts his finger to his mouth and I nod and stay quiet
Troy- oh uh yeah found something I liked and wanted to try it on
Vinnie- ok well hurry up we want to leave
Troy goes to open the dressing room door then looks back to me
Troy- you should definitely buy that
He whispers to me as he unlocks the dressing room door and quickly walks out and closes it behind him
Vinnie- finally let's go
I hear them walk away and I stand in the dressing room for awhile and then I unlocked the door and walk out and i bump into Ashley and Bailey
Ashley- omg yes you need to buy that
Bailey- yes that would look so good on you

Saturday
I'm laying on my bed scrolling through TikTok when I hear the doorbell and I get up and run downstairs to the front door opening to see
Vinnie- Hey
Y/n- god it's you
Vinnie- your not that great to see either
I roll my eyes then walk turn to go back upstairs to my room passing Lucas
Y/n- your stupid friends are here
Lucas- their not stupid
Y/n- yeah whatever
I walk back into my room laying back onto my phone and I text the groupchat

I sigh looking at the time, let's hope they get here soon cause I'm bored. I get up and walk downstairs and past the living room where Lucas, Vinnie and Kio are, I walk into the kitchen grabbing a cup and filling it with water, I hear the doorbell go and I leave my cup and run to the door
Y/n- I'll get it
I yell as I walk into the living room and I see vinnie get up and walk to the door
Y/n- I said I would get it
Vinnie- what a shame I'm getting it
Y/n- move Vinnie
He stands right in front of the door
Y/n- seriously, move out of the way!
Vinnie- make me
I push him out of the way so I can open the door revealing Ashley and Bailey
Y/n- thank god your here
I grab their hands and we walk upstairs to my room, once we get inside I close the door
Bailey- you ok?
Y/n- no, Vinnie is finally talking to me again
Ashley- isn't that good? Like I thought you wanted him to talk to you again
Y/n- yeah I did, but I wish he didn't start talking to me again
Bailey- why?
Y/n- because he only started talking to me after I started getting attention from people, mainly guys. And it's not even talking to me like we use to it's more being way overprotective because his friend is taking an interest in me
Bailey- lemme get this straight, Vinnie is mad cause Troy and other people but mainly Troy have taken an interest in you now that you've had a glow up?
Y/n- yes!
Ashley- so what are you going to do about it?
Y/n- I'm not exactly sure but I know I'm not going to stop talking to Troy because of Vinnie, besides he can't control me and if he think he can I'm just going to make his life hell
Bailey- ok well I agree that you should keep talking to troy, but I don't think there's any need to start making Vinnie's life hell
Y/n- do you not understand he's making my life hell
Bailey- yeah but it is just protecting you, he obviously cares for you
Y/n- no Bailey, Vinnie only cares about him, his friends and family, I'm not any of those to him
Bailey- ok ok do it
Y/n- thank you, now that dress I bought the other day I'm going to wear it tonight
Ashley- Really? God your going to be so hot all the guys will be over you
Y/n- exactly
Bailey- so that's your plan?
Y/n- pretty much, I'm going to just keep pushing Vinnie's buttons so eventually he'll stop trying to protect me
Ashley- ok cool lets get ready!
Pick a dress <3

9:40pm
Once we're all ready it's like 20 minutes before the party starts. Bailey, Ashley and I are just re-touching up our make up when we hear Lucas' window open and close it soon after(we can hear cause his room is right next to mine and our parents is downstairs) we all look at each other knowing Lucas and the others have just snuck out which means we should leave in 5-10 minutes to avoid them seeing us before we even get to the party or we won't even make it to the party. About 5 minutes later we grab our stuff and open the window as well and leave for the party.
