Hwang Yeji
active now

Not once will it ever occur to Yeji that she would be going to a toy's store with Minjeong, a store where most of the shoppers are parents or babysitters with kids running around pointing at everything they like.

While they're here, standing awkwardly but feeling just as giddy as these kids lining up for new toys.

How did they get here?

One text message from Yeji to Minjeong, telling her that they need to talk. As responsible teenagers, they didn't talk, they just got along and went to this store to buy legos.

It's stupid, going with someone you need to make up with in a store to buy legos without ever talking about what happened, as if it never even occurred.

"they sell gaming consoles here? That's crazy" Minjeong commented as they got to another aisle full of games fresh out of the market along with consoles and accessories.

"they're marketing gaming addiction to kids" Yeji jests, making them both laugh before they sauntered around the store to find a new lego set to complete, going back in silence.

Both knew that there's something they needed to address yet here they are, doing nothing at all.

Yeji promised that she would bring it up once they buy the lego set.

Minjeong mentally reminded herself to talk about it after buying a lego set.

Hours passed, they got their own lego sets, but they didn't talk about it.

Now sitting in Mcdonalds, enjoying their meal without a word about what had happened at all.

Both are starting to itch to talk about it, they're becoming uncomfortable.

Now outside a convenience store, drinking apple juice did they finally say something about it.

"so when are we talking about the time my fist went to your face?" both had blurted it out at the same time, catching them off guard as they simultaneously grab their drink and sip it at the same time.

"look-" the two had started in chorus.

"you go first" and again.

"alright, I will" both couldn't help but laugh at the situation they're in before Minjeong gestured for Yeji to start talking.

"I'm sorry for punching your face and not dealing with this any sooner, as the older person and as the one who held this information against you, I should've held more responsibility about the matters" Yeji apologizes, making Minjeong falter a little, lips twitching up into a smile.

"I'm sorry for reacting like that, I just felt betrayed that you knew about it and didn't tell me anything. I could've handled it more like a teenager than a little kid" the two made an awkward eye contact before they burst out laughing at each other, now they're back to normal.

But it wouldn't be back to normal if they didn't ask each other about their love lives.

"still ignored?" Minjeong opened, sipping on her drink while watching Yeji's actions.

"yup. I'm guessing you are too" both of them sighed at the same time, making them laugh once again.

"why aren't you and Jisu talking, though?" Minjeong decided to question since everyone thought that Yeji would be able to realize it sooner and confront the president about the ongoing situation.

"I don't really know, she doesn't want anything to do with me, so what's the point?"

"but you do know that you have the rights to ask her questions, she can't just leave you like that" Yeji shrugged.

"it's what she wants"

"but it's not what you want. You obviously like her and this whole thing is hurting you, just talk to her" Yeji pursed her lips before finally agreeing, they're right anyway so who is she to resist it?

"now, you, why aren't you talking to Karina?" Minjeong sarcastically rolled her eyes at the sudden shift in topic. With all the odds stacked against her, she doesn't know why she's not doing anything yet.

"it's difficult"

"difficult my ass, you haven't even talked to her and you say it's difficult?" Yeji burst out laughing, mocking Minjeong's state which was pathetic, the latter would agree with Yeji because she has the chance to do so, it would leave Jimin much restless than Minjeong.

"I just... I find it difficult to believe that she loves me, like she fell in love with me"

"why is that?"

"she's everyone's dream girl, are you kidding me? Student council vice president, campus ulzzang, and is an amazing person. And me, I'm a fucking clown" Yeji cocked an eyebrow, unable to understand this nonsense that Minjeong is blurting out loud.

"so?"

"so!?" Minjeong repeated with added drama.

"I don't feel like she should like someone like me"

"but you know..." this had Minjeong listening and stopping from ranting.

"the heart doesn't choose who to love. You might not understand that now, because you're fucking dense. But she didn't choose to love you either"

"but why?"

"what do you think? Tell me who Kim Minjeong is"

"umm... Dense, I guess I am funny-"

"whoever you are, whatever qualities you have. She didn't choose to love you for the good qualities. You even denied her of what she feels yet she endured your dumb ass! It means that it's not the good things she likes, because if she did, the moment you show your bad side, she'd go away, but she didn't. Now it's your turn to make it up to her"

"how will I do that?"

"tell me who you are"

"I'm funny"

"then do just that, be funny. You're good at doing that!"

"you want me to dress up as a clown and host a circus for her?"

"no! Dumbass! Be creative, and trust me when I say this..." Minjeong leans over to intently listen.

"she will love you for it"
