I was awoken by the sound of the alarm clock. Moaning, I press the snooze button, but realising I have my weekly swimming session today. I widen my eyes and check the time quickly. LATE. AGAIN! Ugh! I hate it sometimes when I have studies - I have no time to sleep! What, I've had about 3 hours? Not enough for THIS GIRL! I run downstairs and grab some coffee to keep me sane. I don't know what's worse, being late for my swimming lesson or being too tired to even walk a metre. I dragged my feet along the gravel pavement, sometimes falling into the road, but I didn't care. Hopefully, the coffee kicked in and I was able to run to the swimming leisure pool. I finally see the familiar logo saying "Marino High Leisure Centre" and I walked in. The receptionist gave me my card back and I checked my watch. Aha, 12:28, just in time. Everybody in my session walked into the pool and our coach, Mrs HawThorne, sat at the edge. "Okay students, I have some bad news. I'll be retiring soon and is just let you know you are getting a new coach." Everybody pulls sad faces, some even cried. Everybody loved Mrs HawThorne, especially me, since my mum has been friends with her since I was 6 years old. I'm now 19. You must be wondering, why am I this old and still go to swimming lessons? Well, My dad wants me to go to the Olympics to win a swimming gold medal, so I have to know all the tricks in the book. Yup, that's why I'm here. "So, meet your new coach; 'Austin Moon'" a handsome blonde-haired boy walked inside, wearing shorts and a white-polo shirt which printed the Marino High logo. For the first time I'm actually excited to be swimming! "Hey!" Everybody in my class greeted cheerfully. "Hi everybody, as you may know, I'm Austin Moon. I've heard your old coach, Mrs HawThorne has been planning to retire." He looked at her and patted her back. "And since I am studying to be a swimming coach, and since I am very good friends with Mrs Hawthorne, she invited me here for my work experience. You ready to do this?" He said excitedly. "Yeah!" Everybody shouted. I giggled. "Well class, I'll see you next session, have a good time." Me and my other classmates hugged her, and she left to drive home. "Alright, first we're gonna warm up." He gathered us into 2 different groups, sharks and dolphins. I was a dolphin. "Dolphins, you have to try to swim to the other side, and Sharks, you have to try and 'catch' them. Once catched, they turn into a shark. The last one alive wins. Got it?" "Yeah!" We all yelled. He blew his whistle and I could hear the sounds of splashing and shouting 'you're it!' All around the room. A boy as a shark came my way, so I dodged him as quick as I could, until he chased me. Soon we were all running around like chickens! The boy that was a shark topples on top of me, and literally put his hand on my neck and strangles it. I was underwater, I couldn't breathe, I was out of breath. And I have asthma too! The coach realised what was happening, and I heard splashes long away from me. The whole class was crowded around me, an the bad part, we were right at the deep end, so I couldn't get to the top. Austin, the coach was swimming as fast as he could to me and caught up. He dived deep and managed to catch me before I drowned. Austin picked up my body and lifted me to the top. Fortunately, I managed to catch my breath again, and everybody clapped and kept watching. I stared at Austin's wet shirt and floppy hair, then his hazel eyes. We both started leaning in, and touched foreheads. He gave me a sweet, passionate kiss, and I kissed him back. Ive never been in love like this before! We both pulled out and the whole class went "awwww!" And now since that day, we lived happily as a couple - well, not soon enough. He finally had the balls to ask me out a year ago, and now we are adding a new model to our collection. A baby was on the way.
