*Zora’s POV*

Clove just left without everyone knowing why. There are lots of speculations about what really happened yet no one knew. Fortunately, I do.

No wonder it’s all because of Cato and his stupid decisions. He oftens made the wrong decisions but didn’t learn from it. How dense. But I wonder how’s he doing now, he seemed to disappear in the scene. Didn’t even saw him this past few weeks. Hope he doesn’t make a wrong decision again, hanging himself in the tree or whatsoever. Well, I’m just kidding. I guess he needs a friend right now. Yes, that’s me.

I stood in front of his house at the victor’s village, it’s insanely freezing at this point.

*knocks*

“Somebody’s home?”

Got no response.

“Is someone in there? It’s Zora!”

It took lots of knocking before the door swung open. He just looks at me absentmindedly and gestures me to come in. He looks different now since the last time I had saw him. I don’t know what to say. Several minutes had passed and we remained quite. 

“So, what are you doing here?”

“I just came to visit you. Talk to you ‘cos I think you need a friend.”

He looks at me puzzled, “Friend?”

“Yeah?” I was also confused, we’re not even friends.

“Maybe. I don’t know.”

“Don’t pretend that I wasn’t been part of your life!” I kinda raised my voice.

He was astounded. Then he smirked. “Hah! I was just kidding. I know and I’m sorry.”

He’s really the kind of guy who likes pissing you then after you got angry at him, he smirks and says sorry. 

“What do you wan’t to talk about? Or you did come here ‘cos you just simply miss me?”

“Whoa! You still got that old antics of yours but I came here to ask about what happened between you and Clove?”

The atmosphere changed into a serious one. Seems like he’s in the hot seat.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.” he immediately respond. I can see the sadness in his eyes.

I wasn’t supposed to rush things up but those words just came out from my mouth. 

“It’s because of Cyriac, isn’t it?”

“WHAT?!” his eyes widen,

“I know you Cato, you often did stupid decisions. Your temper isn’t helping either.”

I shouldn’t said that. Damn! I’m in trouble. I can sense it. Why can’t you just shut your mouth Zora?! 

“I’m really sor -- “

“You’re right.” he interupted.

“I’m really stupid. I had everything then I was the one who ruined it. Never realized how important everything was, until it was all gone. Maybe there are just things that are not meant to last forever.” 

I can see genuine tears from his eyes. At that moment I could tell that the guy I used to know isn’t the one I know for so long. The guy I’m talking to right now, the Cato who admits his mistakes. The guy I never had a chance to know deeply. The guy who isn’t ashamed even if a girl like me sees him crying. This is Cato, the guy whom Clove knows. The guy she loves.

“I had her. I was reckless. I gave up. I lose her ..” 

He wasn’t able to finish what he wanted to say as he broke down in tears. I know he can’t take it anymore. He’s just human after all. I immediately embrace him. I can feel the pain he bears. I didn’t even notice the tears trickled in my eyes, I think I got carried away. Yes, I do.
