True Colours, A the music freaks story

Chapter Three

Drew dragged Jake down stairs and started grabbing stuff out of the cupboards "what flavour cupcakes?" Drew asked grabbing out 4 flavourings "I think we should do Vanilla Raspberry" Jake said grabbing two of them, Drew putting the rest back.

Drew got up the instructions and started reading recipe out to the both of them.

100g butter, room temperature and chopped.

1/2 cup caster sugar.

1tsp vanilla essence.

2 eggs.

1 cup self raising flour.

1/3 cup milk.

1 cup frozen raspberries, thawed.

Drew read the instructions out carefully as him and Jake combined the ingredients together in a large bowl.

Drew takes out two whisks "want to whisk together?"  He asks handing one to Jake, "yea sure!" Jake replies taking the whisk from his hand. Everything was going great.

Once the boys finished mixing, Drew took out a cupcake tray and they poured the mix into each hole with a spoon. After they finished Drew got out his mittens, put them on and set the cupcake tray in the oven.

"They should be done 25 minutes." Drew said smiling at Jake.

"So we can make the icing while we wait?" Jake asked, his eyes glittering.

"Yea we can" Drew said grabbing a bowl out of the cupboard "I have an online recipe saved already" he continued.

They both read through the instructions and mixing the ingredients together to make the icing "The icing tastes good!" Jake says dipping his finger in and licking some"Jake, save the rest!" Drew said playfully punching Jake "Ow, Okay!" Jake laughed.

Time went by fast and soon the cupcakes were done baking. Drew puts mitts on and opens the Oven and placed them on the bench.

The boys waited for them to cool down before icing them, once they cooled down, they iced them.

"Wow they look so good!" Jake said, grabbing one and smelling it "yea they look great!" Drew said smiling.

"I say we eat one of them now!" Jake said cheerfully grabbing one and Drew following along

"they taste amazing, I say we made the best cupcakes ever!" Drew said. Jake looks over at Drew about to reply but can't help but giggle, "what's so funny!?" Drew yelled in an annoyed tone. "sorry.. you've just got a little frosting on your nose.." Jake giggled pointing at Drews nose, wiping the frosting off then eating it.

"Hey that's my frosting!" Drew saids in an offended tone, Jake grabs another cupcake and pushes it against Drews lips.

then he pushed his lips against Drews.

Drew stood there flustered  'so uh.. you wanna watch a movie.." he said flustered and blushing. "sure!" Jake smiled.
