OFF DUTY INVESTIGATION

FIRST SCREENING AND EXAMINATION

                  CHAPTER 14
The day came for the examination I dressed in a white long sleeve polo shirt and a blazer trouser and a blue tie to fit in, and drove in my car to the site of the examination. As I got out of my car I began to run inside since I was late and accidentally bumped into someone which made her books to fall, as I resolved down to pick the book up the lady bawled at me saying don’t you use your eyes when you walk? When I Proximately heard that voice it became familiar then I rose to see who it was Alice, ohw I am so sorry I wasn’t aware you were the one, it is not a problem. So did you come over to take the exams too? Yeah she replied as I was about to talk again someone interrupted me, hey Alice lets get going or we would not be permitted to take the exams the voice said as he pulled her with him, that must be her elder brother I said in my mind as I too walked into the examination hall.
When I got inside, over 150 applicants were already seated, is this CIA stuff that vital that people wants to get qualified that badly? I said to no one in particular, then a voice from the front shouted won’t you take your seat the exam is about to start

I stood up and moved to our supervisor to submit after which the guy followed after while Alice was still racking her brain. I went back to my seat and was about to pass my question paper to her when she said don’t try to, I don’t need your help fine then I replied, when I got outside I sat down on a chair waiting for no one in particular. After some minutes the cloud began to change from the sunny afternoon to a cloudy day, then the rain began to drizzle shadowed by a heavy down pour. That was when Alice came out and screeched at me saying why did you try to help me? Zilch. Just felt like, is there a problem? I replied.
Who said I was in requisite of your help she said back okay, okay I said in displease. She sat down at the other end of the chair waiting, guess she can’t enter the rain I said in my mind. Still angry the way she shouted at me didn’t want to offer any help again but my heart couldn’t just let her be so I ran inside the rain to get my car. I rolled it in front of the building and told her if I could give her a drive, I don’t need your car I can go home myself that was the only reply I got. I am just trying to be good to you that is all, I don’t need your goodness she replied and ran inside the rain. Hey do you mind lending me an umbrella the guy of the other time said, no problem I replied and gave him the one in my car as he was about to go I stopped him and said wait up, I haven’t asked for your name.
You don’t need to know my name we would meet subsequent times so you don’t need to worry he replied. Take care of your sister I said driving my car from the place, she is not my sister he talked back running inside the rain and don’t try to be good to her he added. I rolled my glass up and drove straight home, I removed my clothing and wore a casual one. I wasn’t in the disposition to cook so I went outside to get something in the restaurant, evening sir what would you like to have the waiter at the restaurant asked. I took the menu and began to study it as I marked what I wanted, pasta and meatballs with coldstone I guess that would do , is that all sir?  The waiter asked yeah I replied
Few minutes later, he move toward me with what I ordered as I began to situate them in my mouth after I was done I paid to the cashier and made my way out of the restaurant. While I was walking home, something really bad was about, I bumped into a man which made the bag he was holding to fall an M-14 came out of the bag. I Pretended as if I didn’t see anything and continued my walk. My mind held me back and said follow this man something is coming up, I decided to stalk him secretly he walked pass many houses and hid inside a ghetto. I used my detective knowledge to figure out what he was up to, a man holding a gun hiding in a ghetto. I began to look around and study the place, yeah a parking lot seems the killer is waiting for someone to come out of a car. I waited for the arrival of any obvious car, after long minute of waiting a red car hovering in followed by some black cars.
I predict that the car must be the target, I quickly walked to meet the man that came out from the car but his bodyguards didn’t give me a chance to meet him. I had no other choice but to use my fist, I loosened the security around him which gave the killer a clear view of his target. Hey you stranger, just know you are a dead meat when I call for backup. That would be after you are alive I said jumping on him, which made him to fall to the ground. The killer missed his target and shot one of the bodyguards at the back. Get him the man ordered, the remaining of them ran towards the assassin and seized him.
Thanks man for saving my life I owe you a big time the guy said offering a handshake, anytime I replied. Too bad I  won’t be able to have a dialogue with you cos I have got an appointment somewhere around here, this is my business card  call the number here so that we can get to know each other he said making his way. Sir what should we do with him? One of the body guard asked. Since he knows about me get rid of him their boss said, yes boss he replied suddenly I heard gunshot shit he killed the man. I wasn’t sure maybe he was a good or bad man that he just took away someone’s life……
