Before you knew it you were back riding to school for your second day. Ted had heard what happened in the hall and he asked about it during last night's dinner, while your mom listened in. You said it was fine and that they didn't need to worry. They obviously did, but you chose to ignore it. When you cycled up to school you noticed the place was covered with flyers. When you rode up to one strapped to one of the poles of the bicycle park you saw a funny image of miss Briggs' head photoshopped onto a hippo's body. "Whoever did this definitely has some nerve." you thought before putting your bike away.

When you got inside you looked around if you saw Freddie anywhere. You hadn't seen him since yesterday's catastrophe. You went over to your locker and you saw a familiar face. The blonde girl from yesterday was talking next to your locker with a dark-haired girl. "You had to take the blame for the flyers Carls, I already got suspended so I can't get another strike." the blonde girl said. "Well, here's an idea. Stop doing bad things! I can't believe you. I don't even know why we're friends!" the dark-haired girl yelled at her before walking off with the blonde girl in pursuit shouting "because I'm a good person!". You laughed at this and opened your locker to put away your coat and books. "I guess we now know who put those flyers up." you thought. The bell rang and you went to your first class of the day which was art. Freddie walked from behind the corner talking to Hannah from the AV club. You greeted them and you walked together to class. You already couldn't wait for the AV club session today, Hannah talked about so many cool things you guys could try out.

The rest of the day was kind of ordinary and boring. Your last class was English and Miss Briggs was not pleased, after the flyer prank. She was crankier than yesterday and looked extra pissed when she looked around the classroom. It was almost like she knew the dark-haired girl wasn't the culprit. She sighed, closed the door after the last student came in and started the lesson. After half an hour she asked a question to the class about the meaning of the word convivial. She looked around with her eagle eye stopped when your eyes met. "So, Y/N. Let's test the intellect of our new student. Could you tell the class the meaning of the word convivial" she said sharply. You looked around and noticed everyone staring at you again. "Well... convivial means that an atmosphere is enjoyable." you answered nervously. The class looked at you in awe as they were sure you didn't know the answer to her question. "Well, well. I guess we have a little know it all in our midst. I guess Cleveland doesn't have the worst education it seems." miss Briggs said and she turned around to draw something out onto the chalkboard. You saw everyone who had been staring at you turn back around towards the board, except for one person. You noticed that blonde girl a few rows in front of you was still looking at you. She didn't make a face or let on in any way what she was thinking, she was just observing. It kinda made you feel uneasy. Which she noticed and turned back around. "What was the deal with her." you thought.

After another hour of enduring miss Briggs, the bell finally rang. The usual classes were done for the day and only students who attended club activities remained. "Ready for the AV club?" Freddie asked when he and Hannah walked up to your table in the back of the classroom. "Sure am. I just got to grab my notes from my locker. You go on ahead." you said and Freddie and Hannah nodded walking to the reserved classroom for the meeting. You packed your things and headed downstairs to your locker.

You quickly opened your locker, having already memorized the combination and looked between your stuff for your AV club notebook. While you were searching you felt a finger tap on your shoulder. You kind of expected it to be Freddie or someone else from the club, but you were kinda shocked when you turned around. It was the blonde girl who pinned Freddie to the locker yesterday, and who had stared at you during class. You had forgotten how beautiful she really was when you looked into her blue eyes. You had to really struggle to not turn pink or look like a buffoon. "Hi." she said. You tried to respond but you instantly had a lump in your throat. You cleared it and you could barely push out another "Hi". "Y/N was it right?" she asked. "That's right" you said. "I figured if we have to be locker neighbours we might as well know each other." she said and she opened her locker next to you, taking out her vest and putting it on.

"I'm Sam." she said. You reached out your hand but she didn't shake it, but just looked at it. "Not too big on the formalities thing." she said looking back up at you. "Noted." you said lowering your hand. "I loved your flyers by the way." you said. "What?! How do you know? Did Carly talk to you? Did you tell anyone?! " She asked intensely. "No, I just overheard you talking to someone this morning, haven't told a soul." you answered honestly. "Oh, good because I can't get expelled again." she said. "I understand. They were worth the risk though they were hilarious! Sure, showed that old hag. Noticed how furious she was during English today?" You said chuckling. Sam laughed at this. "Exactly what I thought." she said closing her locker. "So, you really liked them?" she asked. "Totally! I don't think there's any picture that represents Miss Briggs as perfectly as that." you joked and to your amazement Sam laughed too. "I think so too." she said and wrapped her backpack around her back. "You know if you liked that you can help me on some other pranks sometime." she said with you gazing in her eyes. "If they're as good as that I'm totally in." you answered enthusiastic. "Of course, they'll be. Sam Puckett is always improving." she said and she pounced you in the shoulder, which you pretended didn't hurt. "I gotta go new kid. But I like the way you think. I think we'll get along just fine." she said and she walked off. "Yeah, see you." you said and closed your locker too.

You didn't notice it but Freddie had come looking for you and had been spying on you from the top of the stairs. He walked up with a confused look. "What did you and Sam talk about?" he asked. "Nothing much really. She introduced herself that's all." you said. "Weird, she normally gives the new kids a hard time. I'd steer clear from that one if I were you." Freddie said.

"I don't know man. She seems kinda cool." you said honestly. "Well, if being an annoying bully seems cool to you than sure." he said sarcastically. "I guess Freddie. Ready for the AV club?" you asked. "Ready? We already started! I came to get you." he said annoyed. You quickly apologized and followed him back to the classroom. The second club meeting was as interesting as the first one was. You were discussing to make a small movie about a student that was wondering around an unfamiliar and dangerous school. The kid was played by Bill. It would be your job to do the audio, lighting and you had to assist with making the props. It was very fun. You had already started working on some kind of humanoid monster the student had to overcome. Next meeting shooting would start and you couldn't wait.

After the meeting you and Freddie walked over to your bikes. You two said goodbye when you cycled past his apartment building and you cycled on alone. You thought about everything that had happened today. The AV club would be a wonderful step to get a career in the film industry. And what about Sam. You finally knew her name. "Was she really this insufferable bully everyone knows her as? Is she really that hard on new kids? Is she planning to get me in some way? Then why was she so nice to me back there?" you thought and these questions almost consumed you. Not even noticing you already walked into your house. "How was your day sweetie?" your mom asked which you replied with "Fine." "Will you walk Chris before dinner?" she asked and you nodded. You walked over to your dog who was sleeping in his dog basket, like always. You woke him up and put his collar around his neck. When you got outside you decided to do a quick walk around the block with Chris. While you were walking you felt your phone vibrating in your pocket. You took it out and you saw that Freddie was calling. You picked up. "Hi Freddie what's up?" you asked. "Hi Y/N, nothing much. I just have a small favour to ask you." he said. "Alright shoot." you replied. "Well, I noticed your work at the AV club. I think you know your way around the camera very well." he said. "Yeah? So, what is it?" you asked. "Well... I kind of promised Carly, I'd help her with her punishment this Saturday. She needs to film all the candidates for the talent show next week. I kind of want to impress her with the equipment we can use from the AV club and I kind of need an audio guy." Freddie said. You sighed. "Really Freddie? This Saturday do we have to?" you asked. "Listen. I really want to impress her Y/N. I really like Carly and I've been dying for an opportunity like this. Will you help me? Please?" he asked again. "Well, I don't have anything else to do on Saturday and I guess me and Freddie make a good team when it comes to recording." you thought and sighed. "Alright Freddie. I'll do it. But you'll owe me one"
