Saturday morning came around as the sun crept into Carly's apartment. Its rays woke you up when they hit your face. You slowly opened your eyes and looked at the clock on the wall, 8 AM. You looked at your shoulder and saw Sam still resting her head on it. You slowly got up from the couch making her head rest onto the pillow beside you. This way she wouldn't feel embarrassed if she woke up, you thought.

You looked around the apartment, the place was still a mess from the silly hat party last night. Carly woke up as well. "Good morning, Y/N." she yawned as she got up and stretched her arms. "Morning Carly." you replied. "Let's wake these lazy bums." Carly said jokingly and she touched Freddie's arm. You went over to Sam and did the same. "Wake up Sam." you said and she slowly opened her eyes, looking at you annoyed. "Ugh... What time is it?" she asked. "Slightly past 8." you said. "Why are you waking me up then? It's still too early Y/N." she said and she turned her head. Carly walked over to you. "You're way too nice." she said and she punched Sam in the shoulder "Wake up Puckett!!" Carly yelled. Sam jumped up and almost fell from the couch. "I'm up... I'm up..." she said looking confused.

"Look at this place." Carly said looking at the mess from the party. "It's okay. We'll help clean up, won't we guys?" Freddie offered. You didn't really feel like it but it would be impolite to just leave. "Yeah, of course." you said rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. The three of you looked at Sam. "Fine." she said rolling her eyes. You four started cleaning the apartment. Carly had taken a big trash bag and put it in the middle of the room. This made it easy to disperse of empty bottles, cans and bags of chips. When you were done you, all sat at the kitchen table for some breakfast. You four ate your sandwiches without really saying much. It was still early and you four still hadn't really comprehended the success your first web show had been.

When you were done eating you, Freddie and Sam decided to go home. The three of you said goodbye to Carly as you left the apartment. Freddie lived across the hallway saying goodbye as you stood in the corridor. He shut the door quickly so his mom wouldn't bother you. You looked at Sam and she shrugged at this.

Sam walked with you downstairs and you two started talking about ideas for your next ICarly show. When you got to your bike, she said goodbye and turned around. "Wait, Sam." you said before even realizing it. "Yeah?" Sam replied. "Are you walking all the way home?" you asked. "Yeah, my bike is busted and I don't have any bus money. But it's okay it's only a short walk." she said. You reached in your pockets; you didn't have any bus money to give her either. "Where do you live?" you asked. "Alexi road." Sam replied. "That's at least a forty-minute walk from here. I can give you a ride if you want." you said. Sam looked at the back of your bike. The same form of transportation she had used all week to get to Carly's. "Well... If you don't mind... Sure, new kid." Sam said and you smiled at her. "Of course. Hop on miss Puckett." you said jokingly. "Okay don't make it weird you big dork." Sam said trying to keep back a smile whilst giving you a punch in the shoulder. She jumped on your luggage carrier and wrapped one arm around your waist. "All set?" you asked and Sam yelled "Yeah, step on it!"

You cycled Sam back to her house. It was about fifteen minutes before you got there. Sam got off of your bike and stood beside you.

Her house was kind of a wreck. You looked around and noticed this neighbourhood looked totally different from the rest of Seattle. "It isn't much is it?" Sam said slightly embarrassed from the look on your face. You looked at her and you noticed she avoided your gaze. "I think it's great, Sam." you lied. Sam looked at you with a tiny smile. "I know you don't mean that, but thanks." she said and she opened the front gate. "You know I can help you with your tire if you'd like?" you asked. Sam looked back at you. "Well... I'd be a big help, I'm so bad at fixing that stupid thing." she said. "No problem I'll just have a look." you said and you parked your bike against the fence. You followed Sam to the back of the house and saw her bike. Now both tires were flat. "Hmmm... You got any tire glue or tape?" you asked and Sam shook her head. "Well, I'll run by the store and get some supplies. Your bike will be good as new in no time." you said and Sam nodded. You cycled over to your house to pick up some money and then headed over to the store. When you got back Sam was waiting for you sitting on the fence.

"Got everything?" she asked and you nodded showing her the special glue. You went back to her bike and fixed it.

After twenty minutes you were finally done with both tires. When the tires were fixed you pumped some air into them and before you knew it the bike was good as new. You got up and gestured at the bike. "If you'd please test it, miss Puckett." you joked. "I told you to stop that, idiot." Sam laughed as she walked next to you grabbing hold of the bike. Sam walked the bike back to the road and cycled a few meters with it. "it's good as new! Thank you so much Y/N!" she said as she got off the bike. "It was no problem. It's what friends do." you said looking at Sam's cute smile. Sam put the bike back in the shack. "So that means we're friends now." she said with an evil smirk. This made you grow a bit pink, knowing full well this was her intention. "I guess it does." you replied. "Cool." Sam replied. "I think it's time I gotta head home. I've still got a bunch of homework from that Witch Briggs." you said after a few seconds of silence. "Yeah, me too. Not that I'll do it or anything." Sam replied. "I don't want to do it either but that isn't easy when your principal is living in the same house." you said and Sam nodded in agreement. Sam walked you to the front gate and you two said goodbye to each other. It was slightly awkward but that didn't matter.

When you got home. You were greeted by your mom and Ted. They congratulated you on the success of ICarly's first show. You didn't expect them to watch it but you appreciated allot, especially from Ted. Chris came around the corner and he was overjoyed to see you. He ran to you and before you could do anything he started licking your face. "Settle down boy - settle down." you said laughing. "Wanna go for a walk mate?" you asked and Chris barked overjoyed. You took Chris for a quick stroll to the park and played fetch with him for an hour. When you got home Chris immediately went to his bed. You wanted to give him some treats but when you got back from the kitchen, he was already asleep. "What do I gotta do with you?" you said with a smirk and you petted him on the head.

That night you had dinner with your mom and Ted and they were eager to hear more about the show and the party afterward. You told them how much work went into making the show but the recognition and support really made it all worth it. You also told them about the crazy hat party. Both of them laughed at the silly idea. You were talking so much that you accidentally let it slip that you danced with someone. This made your mom and Ted doubly curious. "She's just a friend nothing more." you said trying not to get red again. "That look on your face definitely says something else kid." Ted joked and your mom laughed. "It's okay sweetie you don't need to tell us. We're just glad you're making friends, and have fun here." she said.

After dinner you worked on your English homework. You were pondering to just leave it just like Sam but your consciousness wouldn't let you. After ninety minutes you were finally done and went to bed. "What a day." you thought. When you laid down you took your phone from the nightstand. You had a text message. You opened the notification and saw it was from an unknown number.

You opened the message and it said:

"Got your number from Carly. Easier to keep in touch that way. - Sam"

You instantly sat up in your bed, your heart racing. You tried thinking of something to reply. After a minute you went with:

"Cool, was thinking the same thing." and pressed sent. After a few minutes you got a text back.

"Thanks for fixing my bike today. It was nice." she texted.

"No problem. See you Monday in school?" you replied.

"Definitely 😎 goodnight!" she said.

"Goodnight 😴" you replied and you put your phone away.

Sam actually texted you at this hour. What does that mean? Is Sam thinking of me like... Like I think of her?" you thought. This thought kept you up for a while but before you knew it your eyes felt heavier and heavier as you fell asleep.
