Episode 2: Roommate

I realize i fell asleep in my cockpit as i hear footsteps approaching, i expect it to be the security officer about to take me to my room but as i get out i notice that it's Orimura in her suit

Y/N: "Where's the officer?"

Orimura: "You're too late for that, you fell asleep by the time she came around, so i told her to leave you, you stayed asleep for the entry of the students, so i'm here to give you your clothes and send you off to class"

Y/N: "I was asleep for that long?"

Orimura: "Yup, yesterday must've gotten you tired because you slept for the entirety of the entrance ceremony, right now, class is going on so put this on and i'll guide you to it"

Y/N: "Uh sure" I hop out of my cockpit and Orimura hands me my clothes

Orimura: "I'll leave you to change here, don't worry, no one is going to come here for a while" She walks off and i stare at the uniform

Y/N: "Huh, it's been forever since high school" I put on the uniform and start walking into the hallway

Orimura: "Alright then, let's get to it" I follow her and she leads me to a classroom that's already bustling with students, and as we walk in. They all go silent, and in the midst of the silence, i notice that 99% of the students are girls, apart from one guy, sitting on the window side whispering to the girl in front of him, brown hair and a big ribbon is what she wore, they seemed to be close but she kept ignoring him, in typical tsundere fashion. While i'm looking, Orimura speaks "Attention! We have a little bit of a late addition to the class. Meet Y/N Pasternak" I salute and all the girls look at me, why is there so many women here? 

"Whoah, can he pilot an I.S. too!" is what i kept hearing echoing around the classroom, yet again, i know barely anything on those things 

Orimura: "Settle down, this one's a special case, but you'll all see that tomorrow after today's class" They all look disappointed and settle down "Okay go take a seat behind Mister Orimura" She points to the only other guy and there's a free seat behind him which i walk to and sit down. 

'Orimura huh? Must be related in a way'

Once the lesson starts, i search around in my desk and find a massive book, that says, MUST READ in big red letters, it looks to be a manual on how the I.S. work, as i open to page one. The guy in front turns around

Ichika: "Hey, the name's Ichika Orimura, honestly it's good to see another guy, i only been here for four hours and i already felt crushed" His personality felt a little similar in a way, like a new recruit getting eyeballed by all the senior pilots, that familiarity already makes me think we're gonna get along

Y/N: "Must've been a nightmare, but hey, us guys are here to watch each other's backs" I put out my fist for a fist bump, which was a usual greeting in my squadron, to which he obliges

Orimura: "Mister Orimura, Mister Pasternak. Is there a reason you two are whispering?" She says sternly, but i instinctively respond with a little quip

Y/N: "Yeah, just a little bro-bonding" Suddenly the classroom looks at me surprised, even that weird tsundere chick that was ignoring Ichika. Then a piece of chalk hits me square in the forehead, calmly launched by Orimura, damn the impact left smoke

Orimura: "That was a rhetorical question, now sit quietly for the rest of class" I nod still a little dazed from the impact. For a teacher, she's extremely harsh

Timeskip 4 hours

The rest of the day was really uneventful, Orimura said that the first day would be to get everyone used to this place, and getting me used to school life, while also learning in class, during which i just took notes and occasionally glanced at the big book's pages until it was over, and now i'm going to have dinner in the mess hall. I was going to sit alone at first until i spotted Ichika and the tsundere so i walk over
