(Asher)

" I don't know if you ever heard of us before, but I'm from a pack called the dark moon. I am the alpha king there and we have recently being threatened by a pack we know nothing of, who is said to be one of the strongest packs here in England. They want to take over the werewolf kingdom and by doing so they declared a war. We have gotten good sources from Selene, saying that the war was mainly intended for my pack since we are a strong pack as well." Alaric was still looking at us with no emotion on his face, which was starting to creep me out.

"And why did you come to me?" He asked and I sighed.

"I heard that this Alpha has already been recruiting supernatural beings from all over the world, to fight alongside him and so far he was successful. I on the other hand, had been gathering supernatural of my own and the only ones I couldn't get in contact with was you and your clan. so I had to take the long journey to come here and see if I can get you interested in fighting alongside us. to bring peace back once and for all." I heard clapping and Hunter started growling. I realized it was Alaric that was clapping and I suddenly felt angry.

"Now that was a touching speech. I'll fight alongside with you on one condition." He said and I raised my eyebrow in question as to what he meant.

"You and me, a duel tomorrow in the clearing. If you defeat me, I'll go with you but if you don't, then you know I will consider you as weak and would have no other choice but to kill you." I was about to accept his offer, when I was suddenly being pulled away by a pissed off kayden. Once outside, he started pacing back and Forth while running his hand through his hair.

"Is this what we came all the way here for!? For you you to want to agree to something so foolish!?" He shouted and I wanted nothing more than to comfort him, but now was not the time.

"You forgot about one thing baby, our gifts. I can easily take him just by using telekinesis, don't think for a second I haven't thought this through before wanting to agree with him." He shook his head and glared at me.

"If anything happens to you..." he didn't get to finish his sentence, as I pulled him towards me and gave him a much needed kiss.

"I promise you that I'll be ok, you just have to trust me on this." He nodded his head and pulled away.

"Don't forget he's a vampire and vampires are only good at one thing." With that he walked away leaving me thinking to myself what the hell did I get myself into?

( Kayden's POV)

The next day Fire was getting mad at what was about to take place. That damn duel.

Should I sit back and watch my mate put himself in danger and not do anything?

No I won't do that. The minute I see any form of cheating going on from Alaric's side, I'm going to end his pathetic life.

I'm not the foolish boy I was once before, Fire gave me so much confidence I was afraid that I might combust from it alone.

I will make sure my mate is ok and alive at the end of the day, or there will be a different war and that would be me against Alaric and I won't be the one losing.

"Are you ok?" Isaiah asked as he sat down next to me on the seat in the make shift seat. there was an arena that somehow magically appeared here, in the clearing.

"Do I look ok to you!?" I snapped and instantly regretted it.

"I'm sorry, I'm just stressed out from all of this. Fire is on edge and itching to come out and right now, I would gladly give him that opportunity to rip every vampire head off who dared suggest fighting with my mate." I knew my eyes were changing, but it was something I couldn't control.

"You just have to calm down and know that Asher will come out victorious. The gifts we have will make sure of a clean win, so there's nothing to worry about." I sighed and decided to let it go for now, since all they kept on talking about were the gifts we have.

"On this day I declare a duel between myself and Asher Samuels of the dark moon pack. Let us begin!" Alaric shouted and his clan started cheering for him. On the other hand me, Isaiah and Lucas as well as the warriors were on edge, waiting for this day to be over and done with.
The duel started and at first Alaric was trying to avoid Asher's attempts to get a hit in, which was getting on my nerves. I was getting ready to call Alaric a coward, since There wasnt any weapons to fight with, just there hands and gifts.

Asher caught on to what Alaric was trying to do and stopped in the middle of the field while chuckling.

After a couple of minutes of avoiding each other, the real war began. They were throwing punches at each other, making sure to land a hard blow each time.

The gifts that they were using, was enough to render you speechless, as to how powerful they both were.

In the end, Asher came out victorious and I was happy, really happy, that I didn't have to resort to violence. I got up and walked up to them, just as they were both shaking hands.

"I'll keep my word, you'll have me and my clan joining your pack and fighting alongside you during the war. When do we leave?" Alaric asked Asher who was smiling that cocky smile of his.

"We leave at day break, if that's ok with you." Alaric nodded his head and told us that we were welcome to camp there, until we were ready to leave. Asher gave me a hug and I returned it feeling the warmth from his embrace.

"Told you I would be ok, now how about we find somewhere private so I can make you mine?" He asked and I scowled at him.

"Asher!" I shouted, but he only laughed in return. It's good to be able to laugh now, because soon we won't be in such a happy mood. soon everything will turn to dust. I'm glad we at least have the vampires on our side, which will lead us one step closer to victory.
