Thin Ice [Book 2]

Chapter 2

"This is for. . . Me?" Athanasia asked while pointing to herself in confusion.
Y/n chuckled and nods, handing the princess the glass lotus.

Athanasia took the lotus careful and saw her reflection in it. It was truly beautiful
"B-but. It was your birthday, I should be the one giving you a gift. Not the other way around" Athanasia said, feeling bad even though Y/n's servants had already gotten the present she had for Y/n.

But after last night, Athanasia felt like Y/n deserved more then an expensive present.

"Our friendship is more then enough."
Y/n said with her usual soft smile.

Athanasia blushed slightly at the heart warming words. But Athanasia's heart felt a tad of pain when she remembered what Lucas had told her last night.

FLASHBACK

After Y/n had ran away, Athanasia had requested to stay the night with along with her father.

Anastaciuas was busy talking to Amenadail about his ex lover and his daughter. So he just let the Royals stay for the night.

Athanasia was pacing back and forth in her room. Waiting for Lucas to show up. Lucas did say for her to wait for him at night to discuss something, and by the tone of his voice, it was serious.

"Yo" A familiar voice spoke out. Athanasia turned her head to see Lucas on the chair that was set in front of a vanity.

"Lucas, what did you want to talk about" Athanasia got straight to the point. Lucas frowns deeply as he got up from the chair.

"It's about Y/n. . . I need you to help her fall love with Amenadail again" Lucas said seriously.

"Eh?" Athanasia's once serious face deadpan

"I'm sorry, you want me to what?"
Athanasia said as she cleared her ear out so she can hear clearly, thinking she misheard what the red eyed boy had said.

"Y/n needs to fall for Amenadail. And your close to her so you can help"
Lucas said once again  while crossing his arms.

"Hmm, yeahhhhhh, No." Athanasia said her face looking at Lucas with a cringe expression.

"And plus, aren't they related!?" Athanasia said as she crosses her arms.

"*sigh* ok, I'm going to start from the beginning. . . " with that, Lucas explained everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.

Athanasia nods
"So. . . She's my cousin?"

Lucas nods
"And her father is my uncle, and her half brother is actually her ex lover who had her release her mother from a prison but her mother was actually the bad guy and killed off all her loved ones in front of her so Y/n sealed the mother back up the in prison and made an illusion for herself that her loved ones were actually alive instead of dead- how does she not have a thaipest!?" Athanasia shouted the last part in frustration.

That all happened 3 years ago, meaning Y/n was only 10 back then. Tears started to form in her jeweled eyes.
She can't imagine the sudden pain that must have hit Y/n that night.

"How is falling for Amenadail again help!? Isn't he the asshat that convinced her to release her demon of a mother!!" Athanasia shouted.

Lucas felt nice that Athy had also agreed that Amenadail was an asshat along with a stupid fuck. But Amenadail was powerful, and his love for his half sister was indeed unusual, but in this era people who are related to each other get married all the time, so it wasn't much of a bother to Lucas.

"Because, platonic love won't keep her down forever. So it's either you help her fall back in love with Amenadail or you find her a new suiter." Lucas said as her got ready to leave.

"I'll try my best" Athanasia mumbled.

"Oh, I almost forgot one more thing"
Lucas said, catching Athanasia's attention.
"If your having trouble finding Y/n a man to love, move on to wemon. She falls easily when it comes to wemon" Lucas said with a smirk. Leaving a very flustered Athanasia.

FLASHBACK ENDED

'I rather do option 2 then to let Y/n go back to Amenadail.' Athanasia was so deep in thought she didn't hear Y/n trying to get her attention

"Athy!" Y/n spoke a little louder, finally snapping Athanasia out of her thoughts

"Ah! Forgive me, I was lost in thought. Thank you for the gift Y/n. Are you free anytime this week?" Athanasia asked with hopefull eyes.

Y/n nods
"Yeah, I should be free this whole week, why do you ask?" Y/n said as she tilted her head.

Athanasia smiles brightly
"I wanna take hang out with you! Of course only if you want" Athanasia said the last part sheepishly.

Y/n chuckled
"Of course I would love to hang out with you." Y/n said.

"Good! Alright, me and Papa will take our leave, now that I mention that, where is Papa" Athanasia said looking around.

𝙼𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚠𝚑𝚒𝚕𝚎

"I hope you had a nice stay, your majesty" Anastaciuas said.

"It was alright. The food was rather cold" Claude said. An irk mark appeared on Anastaciuas's head. The black haired male forced a smile

"I'll remind the servants to set your food on fire next time" Anastaciuas said, clearly pissed off.
The two were creating a very uncomfortable and uneasy vibe in the air around them.

"Papa! There you are!"- Athanasia

"Yo" - Y/n

Both of the fathers turn back to normal once their kids show up.

"Ah, Your majesty. Please forgive me for suddenly dissappering without thanking you for attending my birthday. I am very greatful for having my first dance with you." Y/n said while bowing. She gave her uncle a nice and soft warm smile of appreciation.

Anastaciuas frowns from the attention his daughter was giving his brother.
Claude noticed that and gave Anastaciuas a smug look.

Soon the Royals took their leave.
Athanasia was thinking of someone trust worthy enough to be with her sweet little cousin, but no one good enough came to mind.

"Ugh, I minus well marry her" Athanasia blurted out in frustration.
She froze when she realized what she had said. She slowly turned her head to Claude who was looking at her blankly.

"Pa-papa. I can explain-"

"It's fine. You can love whoever you want, no matter the gender" Claude said looking back out to the window.  Plus, he didn't mind his daughters lover being someone like Y/n.

AHHHHHH. I was so excited to post this one! I'm so sorry this took awhile to make! I love you all and school is about to start. So far, this school year doesn't look that bad😊
