Oikawa stood there for a second, unsure if he should tell the truth or not. He sighed before looking at his mother dead in the eyes.
"Wakatoshi Ushijima-" His mother gasped loudly and covered her mouth with her hand.
"Wakatoshi- like the Wakatoshi Ushijima?" Oikawa stared at her and tilted his head before nodding slowly. His mother stared at him with a blank expression as she was putting the pieces together.
"The night before graduation..." His mother started.
"You didn't go to hang out with Iwaizumi did you?" She continued and Oikawa shook his head.
"No..I didn't- I went to a party in Sendai and things got a bit out of hand..?" He hung his head as the tears were threatening to fall. Damn those hormones Oikawa thought.
"I'm sorry...I didn't really want this mom-" His mother caught him off as she hugged him.
"Tooru...shhh, I'm not mad...I'm not happy either, but yelling at you isn't going to help the situation any." (Can his mom adopt me like, tf? Sorry, my mommy issues are showing, continue reading :D)
Oikawa wiped his eyes and pulled away. He figured he could cry it out later, he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
"Sorry, I'm being really emotional-"
"Hormonal, Tooru, this is normal" His mother giggled.
"I was the same way Tooru, if you're anything like me this is going to be an emotional nine months.."The two of them got out a notebook and started planning things out. His mother had gone through all the essentials with him, she would be giving him a monthly payment that was only meant for the baby.
A few hours go by and it's time for Oikawa's mother to leave. She held onto her son tightly in the parking lot. He held onto her tightly as well, almost not wanting to let her leave.
Almost..
"Mom..you don't like driving in the dark-" His mother looked up at him and laughed.
"You know me too well, or else you want me to leave?" Oikawa shook his head.
"I'm just saying!" He raised his hands in defense. His mother laughed again and opened the car door.
"Be safe Tooru...I love you" She smiled softly at him. He smiled back at her.
"I will, thank you...for everything.." She nodded and closed the door. She pulled out shortly after, giving her son a small wave, and began focusing on the road. Oikawa watched his mother as she left and headed back up to his apartment.
He collapsed onto the couch. Don't get me wrong, Oikawa loved his mother, but she was just very draining. He ended up falling asleep for a few hours and woke up at 10 (p.m teehee). A little disorientated he looked around and sighed.
"Oh for fucks sake-" He got up and did a shortened version of his regular night routine. He turned off all of his lights and laid down in his bed. Staring at the ceiling, he slowly fell asleep into a dreamless sleep.
The next morning Oikawa had one morning class and decided to keep his pajamas on and just threw a hoodie over it. He ate a small breakfast and walked out the door. He greeted a few people as he walked to campus, throwing out a peace sign here and there and got to the lecture hall, and sat down in his typical spot. He pulled out his laptop, which had his notes on, and waited for the professor to arrive.
~After class since I'm not in college and dunno how those lectures work yet~
Oikawa went to change in the bathroom to go to work and was happy he hadn't experienced any morning sickness and changed quickly. He checked the time and rushed out, almost running to his work. He usually wasn't this behind schedule and went in through the back door panting and hunched over for a bit. Not being in a sport and all the drinking he used to do already was starting to affect him.
He clocked in and worked his shift, mainly just doing dishes to make up for his absence the previous day, and was getting ready to clock out before his boss came up behind him.
"Tooru? Can we talk in my office after you clock out, just want to talk to you alright?" He gulped and nodded.
"Yes ma'am-" She laughed quietly.
"You're not in trouble, no need to worry, just discussing a couple of things." She gave him a reassuring smile and walked back to her office. He sat down in the chair across from her desk and waited patiently since she was on the phone. She hung up a few minutes later.
"Sorry, just another complaint about how the delivery "wasn't fast enough" anyway, are you feeling better today?" Oikawa nodded slowly.
"A bit yeah..I'm still trying to process everything so..but it won't affect my work for right now!" His boss raised an eyebrow.
"For now?" Oikawa nodded.
"Yeah, I'm uh-" He sighed and mumbled.
"I'm pregnant.." His boss stared at him slightly before talking again.
"I understand Oikawa, if this workplace becomes too stressful for you let me know and we can adjust accordingly alright? You're a great worker, one of my favorites, but shh I didn't say that." They both laughed slightly.
"You can go home now Oikawa, see you on Tuesday." He got up and nodded at her before walking out the back door. (For reference it's Sunday)
The trip home was silent, the sun was setting and Oikawa had stopped at a Subway to get a 6 inch. (about 15 cm.) and began eating it on the way back. Everything seemed to be somewhat peaceful.
That was until he saw a very familiar person standing close to his apartment building.
Oikawa gasped and almost dropped his sandwich.
"What are you doing here?" Oikawa questioned
"Well-"
A/N
Teehee who do you think it is? Knowing me, I probably wouldn't know either lmao
it's either Iwa, or Ushi I'll tell you that much-
Also sorry for uh-
Not updating for a while, summer break isn't as fun for me as some others so..
I cannot provide an update schedule- I wouldn't keep up with it and it would stress me out, so the chapters will come whenever I'm motivated enough to do so..
Have a good night/day/evening! I should come up with a nickname for all of everyone who actually continued reading tbh
