Chapter 3 : The State of Man

Man is what he is. My declaration to you is that we do not come baring frankincense and myrrh, nor a sword and dagger. To find man evil takes an amount of righteousness I'll never reach.

To think a small child held in its mother's arms could ever take its first breath of air... guilty of the act of existing. Small, innocent, and fragile, it cannot even see, but is has been recognized by the watching eyes of the zealous as their Azazel to be tossed into the sands. Or to see a broken man permanently end the lives of others, to find his life pieced together by false hope and emotionless maintenance, and not think what was once just a small boy was clearly heaved astray!

But yet, there are men out in the darks of our zeitgeist who wish to only see carnage and the ashes of the world whisp away. Cold, angry steel brought to bare against the necks of innocents. Those that steal honor and peace of mind for the thrill it brings them, and cost of this high is human suffering. If a soul shines, there exists in these men a hollowed husk of hateful obsidian. Dimmed to nill by that part of us all that denounces existence- they embrace wholeheartedly or deny it fervently to never see the monster plays his strings like a hazardously macabre marionette.

Can it not be as simple as it seems? Who says so that it cannot? Why do you need to give humanity any different amount of deference than it deserves? We have yet another example of the peril of thinking you always have the answer before the question is even asked- nay, before the person in question is even asked into this world by the beckoning of the first light it is to ever witness.

This is not a inquiry into divinity, and does not need to be. That question does not provide an actual answer in the face of reality, in all things you must form your vision of the world and how it works... according to how it works. If indeed your view of the world proclaims the nature of man dictates that were we to flap our arms and catch the summer's breeze up and away from the bonds of Gaia and into heaven's embrace- you will be quick to find yourself staring at a swiftly approaching cliff bottom were you to test this hypothesis. One simple issue with man is his inability or inadequate training in multilevel analysis. As in to say that of course this example is simple and mundane, but this incredulous example is just as apt for more sophisticated and complicated problems as well. You must find a way to ponder upon the problems to any solution put forward, and adjust accordingly.

In conclusion, judge a person as they are, and judge humanity as they have shown themselves to be. Beyond being incorrect, why must mankind have a moral nature that will push them so much so into one camp that it leaves us flabbergasted at the first sight of a foil? Do not corner your thinking in so! You fail yourself and all humanity when you stop short of giving it the credit of being diverse and full of the flaws and boundaries that make us who and what we are. More does not need to be said, I will leave the hot air and pontification to the idealists- I will busy myself with topics deserving of our time.
