Chapter Sixteen: Le Grand Guignol

Celeste who is still Sabines body has her hands tied in front of her as she leans against a tree. Eve and I are standing in front her both holding guns. The rest of the wolf clan is surrounding her. I rip the tape off of Celeste's mouth. "So what's this, payback? Look. I'm sorry I tricked you. I wasn't after you." Celeste said "What, and we were just collateral damage? You almost burned her and Jackson alive in that plantation fire." Eve said and Celeste struggles against the ropes trying to free herself. I fire a warning shot near Celeste. "Careful, Sabine, or Celeste or whatever you like to call yourself. Sudden moves make me jumpy." I cock the gun again. "And homicidal." I say "What, you're gonna kill me, honey?" Celeste asked "No. I know better. See, I know all about you. I know that you like to off yourself and then jump into other people's bodies. Well, that's not gonna happen here. I know I can't kill you, but try hexing me, and my friend Eve here will kneecap you. Go for her, and then, well, honey, I'll really make it hurt." I say "So, what do you want?" Celeste asked "Back in the 90's, you inhabited a witch named Brynne Deveraux, remember? Marcel had her, you, put a curse on a lot of werewolves so they'd only turn human on a full moon." I say "I see. Yes. That was me. Let me guess. You want revenge." Celeste said "I want you to undo the curse." I say

Celeste mixes some herbs together in a mason jar. "Here." She hands me the jar and I take it from her. "It's herbs ground into paste. It'll act as a conduit for the spell. On the next full moon, your people become human. Feed it to them, the curse will be broken." Celeste said "Great way to poison us all at once." I say "Look. I know you have no reason to rust me, but Hayley, I actually like you. I cared for Elijah when he cared more for his brother, and I ended up dead. So did a lot of others. You seem to care for his brother. This, call it a chance for me to give you what I was too in love to give myself. It's a chance to free yourself from the originals." Celeste said "You believe her?" Eve asked and Jackson growls so I turn to look at him. "Whatever she's promised you, it's a lie." Elijah said and he appears behind Celeste. "Elijah, it's okay. I'm okay." I say "She cannot be trusted." Elijah said "She's the only one that can help my pack." I say "Do you have any idea what she has done to our family?" Elijah asked "I know you want revenge, and come the next full moon, when I'm sure her cure works, she's all yours." I say "Are you suggesting that we hold her, her, captive for an entire month? It would take an army." Elijah said "And I've got one. The wolves around us howl which causes distant howling from other wolves. "So help me or get the hell out of my way." Elijah looks at me then at vampire speed grabs the jar and Celeste. "Son of a bitch!" I yell out before pulling out my phone.

"Is everything alright, Little Wolf?" Klaus asked "Can you dagger your brother? Or at least let me snap his neck? Something?" I ask "What did he do this time?" Klaus asked "He stole from me. Not entirely sure if he's coming back." I say "He will. Trust me, now I have some stuff to deal with containing Camille. So little wolf I'll talk to you later, alright?" Klaus asked "Alright. Bye." I say "Bye." Klaus said and I hang up.

-time skip-

Eve and the rest of the wolves minus Jackson has left and I'm sitting by myself on a log. "You came back." I say "I'll always come back." He holds the jar up to me. "Take it. It will work." Elijah said and I smile taking it from him. "Eve and I will round up as many of our people as we can. Come full moon, I can finally free my family." I say and I hug Elijah. "Hayley..." He grabs he side of my face kissing forehead. "I wonder if they have any idea how lucky they are to have you." Elijah said and I smile at him before walking over to Jackson who walks away with me.

S1E16: Farewell To Storyville (Hayley was only in this episode once so I added it to this chapter.)

I'm sitting outside by the bonfire when I see Rebekah walking towards me causing me to stand up. "Rebekah, what are you doing here?" I ask "I came to say goodbye." Rebekah said
"What happened to us girls sticking together?" I ask "Well, Nik and I came to a sort of all-or-nothing arrangement. I leave town for good, and he allows me to. Can't pass that up." Rebekah said and I laugh a little. "A thousand years with Klaus? I guess you deserve a few vacation days." I say "Listen. About Nik, he is a monster. Do not ever cross him. I know you care about him, I've seen it with the way you've looked at him. But, he does want more from life than to just be feared. He's too broken to find it himself, but I do believe there is hope for him in the baby that you carry. And speaking of your child, our family has no shortage of enemies. She will inherit all of them. Please, be careful." Rebekah said "You know, you can always come back and visit. I've been known to keep a secret or two from Klaus." I say "Well, if I can't, you make sure to tell that little girl stories of her crazy Auntie Bex and let her know, despite my absence, I do love her very much." Rebekah said and I smile and she walks away.
