Tsukishima bent down, picking up Yamaguchi's bag. He'd come into the hospital to pick up Yamaguchi from physical therapy for the third time this week. As promised, he wasn't watching.
Yamaguchi wanted to be independent about his appointments. He made them, he scheduled them, he went to them.
"Tadashi, have you finished?"
Yamaguchi looked up from the floor. "Ah…"
Tsukishima looked at the two doctors helping Yamaguchi move. Then to the smaller male. One of his legs was halfway in the air and he was holding onto a doctor. "Oh my."
Yamaguchi's leg lowered, almost stuttering in movements. He set it on the floor and the doctors helped him sit up.
"You've learned to move them that high?"
Yamaguchi opened his mouth before closing it. He sighed.
"What's wrong?"
Yamaguchi shook his head.
"You don't want me to see?"
Yamaguchi rubbed the back of his neck. He moved his right leg up a bit before putting it down, panting softly. It hurt so bad.
Tsukishima leaned down. "Are you alright?"
Yamaguchi started to cry softly. "Hurts…"
"Baby…" Tsukishima rubbed his cheek, holding him. "Is this over?"
"It is but we need to get him up."
"Alright." Tsukishima lifted him up and put him in his wheelchair, which for some reason didn't have the pillows Yamaguchi liked. Actually, it had no padding. "The hell?"
Yamaguchi trembled, his back starting to hurt. He grabbed Tsukishima, whiny. He was lifted again and just held bridal style.
"Did someone take off his padding?"
"What? None of us would do that."
Tsukishima sighed. He set Yamaguchi on a mat. "I'm going to get the pillows from my car."
Yamaguchi nodded.
Tsukishima grabbed the extra pillows and hurried to get Yamaguchi home where Yamaguchi was put in a hot bath. This allowed his muscles to relax and for him to stay calm.
Tsukishima got every blanket and pillow and stuffed animal he could find and Yamaguchi was placed on the pallet of softness. Yamaguchi fell asleep playing with Tsukishima's hands, his hands still quite shaky.
Tsukishima eventually got up and made Yamaguchi something warm to eat with tons of shrimp. Yamaguchi slept for hours, through lunchtime and nearly till dinner. He was definitely alive and well but he was out cold.
Tsukishima set aside the warm food in the crockpot, keeping it on a very low level. He sat next to Yamaguchi, rubbing his hair and back. He was moved a bit every few hours to keep blood flow going and he was nice and comfortable.

"Tsuki…?"
"Hm?" Tsukishima smiled to himself, realizing Yamaguchi had used his name.
Yamaguchi smiled sleepily. He snuggled closer and whined loudly.
"Oh, my angel. Would you like to get up?"
Yamaguchi nodded, patting his chest. "Mm…"
Tsukishima sat him up a bit and brushed away his hair from his eyes. "Good morning angel. You slept for so long. You planning on sleeping the rest of the day away?"
