Tsukishima stood still, still holding his phone to his ear. The people talking around him was silenced. "In love with me?"
"You didn't talk about it with him?""No… I just… I'm getting married next year. Tadashi is planning on getting himself mentally prepared for a child. It's been years."
"I know. I've tried everything. I tried to get him to get closer to that freaky ass snake guy and the guy with the tongue piercing but he won't budge."
Tsukishima turned around. "I'll call you back."
He hung up and hurried outside. Kuroo was staring at a tree, counting the knots in the bark.
"Kuroo."
Kuroo looked over and smiled. "Hey. Sorry about-"
"Kuroo. You know the snake guy. He works at the zoo with the snakes and loves green."
"Daishou?"
"Yeah. Give him another chance. He's single and very much looking for someone like you."
Kuroo stared for nearly twenty seconds. He smiled, turning his head to the tree. "Thanks. I'll look into that."
Tsukishima nodded, rushing to get back inside. He hated the idea of Kuroo loving him. Kuroo was a great guy but he just never knew when to quit sometimes. He needed someone who was equally as weird and Tsukishima knew that Daishou was a pretty nice fit for that.
Dating Kuroo had hurt Yamaguchi back in high school since Tsukishima had no time for him anymore. But now he gave his free time and nights to the person he loved most in the world.
"Tsuki!"
Tsukishima snapped out of his daze and turned. He smiled. "Tadashi…"
Yamaguchi rolled up to him and got his hug and kiss.
"How did you even get here? You can't drive yet."
Yamaguchi pointed to a shelf where Asahi and Nishinoya were looking for books.
"Ah…"
Yamaguchi smiled and fixed his hair a bit. He giggled.
"Why are you so happy?"
Yamaguchi held out his phone. "You."
Tsukishima took his phone and read through what was on it. "Wait."
"Hehe."
"Wait. Wait. Did I get in? I got the internship?" Tsukishima scrolled and gasped. "I got it."
Yamaguchi clapped. "Yay Tsuki!"
Tsukishima leaned down and kissed him. "Come on. We got new books and you get the first pick of a book"
Yamaguchi relaxed as Tsukishima rolled him to the area with new releases. Yamaguchi went through the books, smiling. He spotted one he wanted to see and reached for it. A whine escaped him.
"What is it?"
Yamaguchi pointed to the shelf and tried to sit up more.
Tsukishima hoisted him up and Yamaguchi didn't freak but rather grabbed on and put his feet on the ground. His legs shook and he coughed, not used to this. "Grab the book angel."
Yamaguchi reached up. His hand still shook and he was slow but he'd gotten the book.
"Down?"
"M-mhmm."
"Great job." Tsukishima set him down and Yamaguchi calmed himself.
Yamaguchi read the description and see it in his lap. He looked around, curious. He picked up another book and smiled.
