Demeter wandered the earth searching for her daughter. "Persephone!" she called. "Where are you? Persephone!" she cried.

Demeter had been searching for Persephone for many days.

Mount Olympus, I have not tried there.

So Demeter turned around and headed towards the home of the gods.

Zeus was lounging on his throne, when his son Hermes burst through the doors. He sat upright as Hermes approached him.

     "Zeus." he said.

Zeus cleared his throat and glared at his son. Hermes ignored him and continued. "Demeter is destroying the earth and many people are dying."

"Why is she doing this?" he asked clearly agitated.

     "Persephone." Hermes answered.

"I should have known. Well, thank you Hermes. You are dismissed." Hermes bowed and left. Minutes later Demeter burst into the room.

"What have you done with her?" she growled angrily.

"I have not done anything Demeter. Whatever are you talking about?"

She looked at him, shocked. If Zeus did not have her daughter who did?

"Where is she? Where is Persephone?"

"She is not here if that is what you are implying." he answered, smiling innocently down at her.

"Then where is she?" Demeter screeched.

     "I cannot tell."

"Where is she?" Demeter asked as she approached Zeus.

"You will tell me now, or the earth will perish."

"I will not tell you, I made an oath. But you could ask Helios." Zeus said.

Demeter turned around and stalked out of the throne room. Zeus shook his head. "I thought he would finally get to be happy." he whispered.

Hades walked through a long corridor, for quite some time, until he reached Persephone's room. He knocked on the door. A moment later Persephone opened the door, smiling.

     "Hi." he said.

"Hi, is there something you wanted?" she asked.

"Well, I had wondered if you would.... I mean would you..."

     "Would I what?"

"What I meant to say was that I would like to show you around, if you don't mind." Hades said.

"I would love that, excuse me for a moment. I have to get something."

She walked back into the room and emerged a moment later wearing a pair of sandals.

"Okay. Come on then." he said as he started towards his throne room.

When they reached the doors he stopped and said, "This is the throne room, where I judge souls."

He opened the doors. She stared. It was a massive room, with two great big thrones on the back wall; one of which she guessed was hers. They were beautifully decorated in the most amazing gems. The bigger one was decorated in the most beautiful rubies and diamonds. The smaller one had only emeralds, which sparkled so brightly they almost matched Persephone's eyes.
