Alec's POV
Stiles's eyes were looking completely and utterly terrified as he said he was going for a walk. Most likely the reason that he looked at me though is because he knew I would catch on that something wasn't right. There was some sort of connection building between the two of us. I just couldn't figure out what it was just yet.
So as soon as he started walking away I got right up and followed after him. Archie was going to come too, but in the end I convinced him to go stay with the others in case something bad happened. If something is happening to Stiles than something could happen to any one of us at any time at all. So it would make more sense that he stay back with the others instead of going ahead with me. So he left halfway through to go back to the campsite with Barry and Quinn. Even though I feel like he will probably feel like more of a third wheel.
Honestly I walked a little more, and then all of the sudden I just couldn't figure out where I was anymore. I mean it's not like we mapped out the place or something, but this part isn't even forest, or at least it doesn't look like it. Can't always judge a book by it's cover.
There's also no way that this is the desert area either. This has to be some sort of junkyard or even...no it's definitely a junkyard.
Eventually I did hear voices. None that sounded like Stiles, but I did hear his name mentioned, so I decided to follow it and see where it took me.
What I saw definitely freaked me out. I had wandered into a weird part of the forest. It was definitely run down judging by the fact that everything looked to have been burned down. Most likely a forest fire I'm guessing.
How did I get from forest, to junkyard, then back to forest again? Something isn't right with this place.
Stiles was nowhere to be seen and that worried me. I followed this path because I heard Stiles's name mentioned. Now not only can I not hear any voices anymore, but I have no idea how to get back because I think my path disappeared.
"God I miss Clary and her optimism at this point," I stopped and stood there in shock for a moment at what I had just said, "did I actually just say that?" Nevermind. She didn't hear it so it didn't happen. Let's just pretend that never happened and everything will be good to go. Actually I should probably start walking in the opposite direction. That way I can at least try to find my way back to the others. Let's just hope that they didn't run off. Also what if Archie got lost too? That would leave Quinn and Barry by themselves and then Archie, Stiles, and myself are each on our own now.
Okay this definitely sucks.
Time to turn back. I need backup for this and me going in by myself would be super stupid.
Even I know when I'm outnumbered.
So I turned around and tried to walk back to the site where we all were but it was all junkyard.
There was no way I could get back to everyone without even knowing where I was. Doesn't matter how far I walked. It was all junkyard. It's like the forest area didn't even exist in the first place.
Is that even possible?
For this place to keep changing? How can that happen?
Unless we're not in control of what's happening?
That would make sense since we're all together and none of us have any connection to each other whatsoever.
Who could be smart enough to do this with all these connections though? That's the part that just doesn't make sense to me.
I don't think that there's one person between the five of us that could connect all five of us. I mean not that I know of anyway. None of us even knew of each other before meeting here. So what could they want with us that they couldn't want with five other strangers?
Maybe we were just chosen at random though. Maybe there's no pattern or reason that we were all brought here. Maybe it's just random.
Or maybe the connection doesn't matter. Maybe we were all chosen but for all different reasons. They could want something with us that only the five of us could do.
Then I heard it.
"So Stiles are you ready to listen?" As soon as I heard his name I started sprinting towards the voices, but stopped once I could see them in front of me.
Stiles was standing in front of two people. A girl and a boy.
"Darren just tell him the message! If you don't hurry up we'll run out of time and he'll snap out of it!"
Okay so Stiles wasn't there willingly it seemed. Actually I should've known that. That made me feel better though.
"I'll do it when I'm ready! You just have to be patient Adrianna." So her name was Adrianna then.
Okay so now I know their names but that doesn't help me know what's happening to Stiles.
"Ugh you're taking too long." Then she walked up to Stiles and tapped him on the head. It did something to him and he fell to the ground unconscious.
I took this as my opportunity to attack. Which looking back on it now was probably not the best call I could've made at the time.
They were completely ready for me. As soon as I went to jump they were turned around eyes glowing purple.
Woah what the heck were these guys?
They obviously weren't werewolves. If they were then their eyes would be green. And they kind of looked demonic. Like every move they were making was controlled as they moved in sync with each other.
"Nighty night Alec." The girl...Adrianna said before she tapped my head and everything went black.
A/N: Okay this seems to be a pattern with me. Like I only update this story every couple of months. I'm going to try to get another update out soon since I actually understand what's going on in my story now. So stay tuned for that.
Until next time.
