28th Chapter

You are on a leave from school because of your bruised knee which is almost healed now. It has already been two days.

You are in your bedroom, on your phone, watching the recent interviews of Oikawa.

He looks so good in black turtleneck sweater. You think.

You are so engrossed in watching him that you don't notice someone entering your room and snatching your phone from you.

"Looking at your ex, huh?" It is Kuroo.

"Give me my phone back, Kuroo!"

You stand on your bed to get some extra height but he moves away.

"Aren't you getting too feisty given that you are not completely healed yet?" He says.

Since the extra height didn't help you, you get down from the bed to get closer to him.

Whenever you are close to get it, Kuroo moves it away again.

Suddenly your feet hits the bed and you fall down on it, taking Kuroo along with you.

Now he is on top of you.

You two stare at each other. You are shocked by what just happened right now. You two are really close.

Kuroo's gaze shifts from your eyes to your lips. He keeps staring at it before leaning in. Your noses are almost touching.

You get conscious and shove him off of you.

"What were you trying to do?" You sit up.

"You shouldn't blame me when you are the one who dragged me down with you," he shoots back.

"I- uh- it was out of instinct. You were supposed to hold me!"

"Yeah. I just got one job," he looks down.

"Okay. I am sorry. It's my fault anyway," you accept.

Kuroo looks up, cupping his ear.

"What was that?" He asks, pretending to not hear it.

You know that he heard it clearly.

You grit your teeth, "I said, I am sorry," you yell.

"Okay," Kuroo chuckles, lifting his hands.

"Who let you in?" You ask.

"Your mom. She was really nice to me."

You roll your eyes hearing that.

"By the way," Kuroo pauses and scoots over to you, "What was that lotion I smelled?"

"Get out of here, you big fat perv!" You snap.

You are not going to apply this lotion again.

You go to your school after one day. You hope to see Oikawa. To your rescue, Oikawa's fangirls come. They are so loud everywhere. You take a good peek at him from far. His smile isn't reaching to his eyes. You feel sad to see that.

After the school, you go to the convenience store to get something to eat. It is the same store where a lady complimented you two as a couple.

You open the door and see Oikawa.

"H- Hey," you managed to say.

"Hi," he says too.

You two get awkwardly quiet after that.

"I didn't see you much these days," he says breaking the silence.
