{Chapter 15} Distance

A few days had past, George was staying at Wilburs house. Wilbur had treated him great, Dream and George have been calling on a spare phone Wilbur had that he gave to George. George was so grateful to have friends like this, George's cuts and bruises were starting to fade so that made him feel better. Dream offered George to come to England but he refused. He was scared Dream would do something bad, George was still in emotional shock so he would stay in England for a little while.

Wilbur and George sat on the couch and Wilbur brought up the elephant in the room. "So you and Dream huh?" Wilbur asked and turned to look at George. George smiled and nodded "Yeah" He said under his breath "I'm so happy to have him." George said softly and looked at Wilbur. "So how did you too start dating?" Wilbur asked with a smile on his face. "So I like always wanted to meet up with him but he was unsure of showing his face, but I guess he got over that. He told me he had a surprise for me and I would find out that night. I was scared because Dream and surprises aren't that fun most of the time" George said and let out a chuckle "Then there was a knock on my door and there he was. It was so unreal. I could finally hug him and see him. I had liked Dream for a bit now but I was always to scared to tell him." George said and Wilbur listened carefully.

"So he was in England and he wanted to 'go explore' so I took him to a few shops where he bought a crop top that he wore for the rest of the day just to spite me. I took him to my special place close to my house and we watched the sunset together. That's where we had our first kiss." George said smiling widely thinking back to those moments, the moments that George holds closest to him. "Then we went to America and I found out he was about to sleep with someone, we weren't together then but it hurt me a lot but we got over it together, we had our first date and he asked me to be his boyfriend at a cute little restaurant. I said yes."
George said with a huge smile the whole time.

"Wow that is some crazy love story" Wilbur said and they both laughed softly "I really love him Wilbur. But I'm scared he is gonna wake up one day and see that he can do way better" George said and let out a sigh. "Woah that took a turn- Well I see that he really cares and loves you. When he called me up he sounded devastated. Personally I think you guys are gonna stay together and grow old." Wilbur said with a slight smile. George nodded a little, that's all he wants. To be happy with Dream, but what if he's not good enough?

Dream was just laying in his bed for days, he missed George like crazy. He blames himself for what happened to George, he should've just gone with him. He was listening to their song on repeat. Dream just wanted to hold George, he didn't wanna ask when he would come back since he didn't wanna seem pushy and clingy. But he needs George, ever since George went nothing feels the same anymore, everything feels so boring and purposeless. George always showed him how fun the world could be.

"I miss you so much George" Dream said with tears running down his cheeks while looking up at the ceiling. His life feels so empty. Dream had told Sapnap everything that has happened, he just needed to tell someone. Sapnap had traveled all the way from Texas to accompany Dream.

Sapnap knocked on the door and opened it slightly "Dream?" He said softly and turned his head around the door to see Dream crying to the same song again. He walked to the speaker and paused it. Dream rolled onto his side facing away from Sapnap. "Dream you need to get out of bed and eat something" Sapnap said and sighed. He tried to help Dream but Dream didn't make it easy. "I'm not hungry thanks" Dream mumbled, Sapnap sat on the side of Dreams bed. "I know you miss him dude but you need to eat, and he's okay now right? So you will see him soon. Just give him some time to take in what happened" Sapnap said and Dream turned around and sat up.

"You don't know what it's like Sap, I almost lost him. I should've been there. Now he's there and I don't know if he's okay, I can't hold him and tel him he's gonna be okay. I can't do anything." Dream said in a raised voice that slowly broke down. He started crying more. "I'm sorry" he said and buried his head in his hands. "It's okay buddy" Sapnap said and pulled him into a hug, he softly rubbed his back till he calmed down. Dream had stoped crying. "So will you come eat now?" Sapnap said and slowly pulled away from the hug to look at him.

"Yeah let me shower first" Dream replied and Sapnap nodded and left Dreams room. Dream got out of bed and grabbed some clothes. He took a towel and went into the bathroom. He took of his clothes, he had gotten a bit skinnier. He went under the hot water and sighed leaning his head against the tiles. He looked down at his arms seeing the scars on them. He made them the night George got beat up by his dad, he needed a way out of his feelings. He regretted doing it. He looked away and washed himself and then got out of the shower.

Dream and Sapnap were sitting down at the table eating some sandwiches Sapnap had made. "It's so warm here" Dream said and looked at Sapnap who looked fine. "It's a little warm, maybe just take of your hoodie." Sapnap  said and shrugged. Dream shook his head and wiped his forehead that was a little sweaty. "Nah.." Dream said and sighed. "Why not? You always used to do that when we lived together." Sapnap said and looked confused. "Okay" Dream said and slowly took of his hoodie, he was wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath showing his arms with the scars on them.

Sapnap noticed and widened his eyes "I-I'm sorry I didn't know" Sapnap said feeling bad about telling him to just take it off. "It's fine Sap, just don't mention it to George okay? And be fore you ask I won't do it again" Dream said and sighed. Sapnap just nodded. They finished their food and just decided to stream to take Dreams mind off of everything.
