"Okay so Em- Hermione I need to tell you something..."

"What is it babe?"

You and Hermione had been dating the entire time you had been at Hogwarts. The two of you sat in the library studying for your final exam.

"What if I told you there were different dimensions...". You said nervously.  You had no idea how your girlfriend would react.

Hermione closed her book and scrunched her eyebrows.  You could see the wheels turning in her head as she thought long and hard about your questions.

"You mean like different worlds?"

"Yes sort of...  What if you were someone completely different in another world, do you think you'd still want to be with me? Even if I was boring, and worked an office job, and was a muggle, and you were rich and famous...". You said trailing off your sentence.

"Love, what do you mean?"  A concerned look crossed here face.

"Do you trust me?"

"More than anything."

"Come with me..." Hermione followed you to the restricted section of the library.

"You know we can't be in this section...".  Hermione whispered as she tugged on your robe.

You pulled out a necklace with a pendant in the shape of a square .

"This kind of works like your time turner except it doesn't change time, it'll bring us to a different dimension... a dimension where our lives are very different...  a dimension where I come from."

"Do you mean America? Love, that's not a different dimension-"

"No you'll see.  Hold my hand."  Hermione did as you asked.  You both closed your eyes as you rotated the square in your hand for a bit.  Just like that you began to swirl through time and space, and when the two of you opened your eyes you were in Times Square, New York."

"Wh-where are we?"  Hermione asked nervously. She looked down to see she was wearing a simple black dress, and her usuall curly hair was pulled back into an elegant bun.  A light layer of makeup covered her face.  You were wearing black skinny jeans with a pair of black boots.  A simple white t-tshirt covered your chest and a worn in denim jacket sat upon your shoulders.

"Hey is that Emma Watson?!"

"Can I get a picture with you?!"

"That's the girl who plays Hermione!!"

You saw Hermione reach for her wand but suddenly became frantic when it wasn't there.

"Come with me."  Hermione grabbed your hand and the two of you ran towards Central Park and sat down in a secluded area.

"(Y/n) explain."  Hermione said firmly with her arms crossed.

So...  I'm from a world where Hogwarts and everything... Well it doesn't exist.  All the adventures you have at Hogwarts are just movies you star in with your friends. Your name here is Emma Watson, you're a famous actress. Everybody loves you.  Close your eyes and try to mediate, these memories will come back to you".

Hermione...  or Emma rather, closed her eyes and began to mediate.  After about fifteen minutes she opened her eyes; a look of disbelief across her face.

"You're right...  it's all coming back to me now... wow..."

You smiled she now officially knew you weren't crazy.

"But what about you? What's your life like?"

You looked down at your feet and nervously played with yours hands.

"Um... I'm just an office worker, we've met in this dimension, but I spilled coffee on you once while walking the streets of New York, I was so embarrassed but you smiled at me and reassured me it was okay...  Do you want to walk around the city a bit?"  You asked changing the subject.

Emma extended her hand and laced your fingers before leading the way back towards Times Square.

The sun shone brightly as golden hour was approaching.  A cool fall breeze swept the streets of the bustling city.  Every so often people would whisper things like "is that Emma Watson?"  "There's no way that's her...". "Do you think it'd be rude if I asked her for a picture?"

Emma walked with her head held high and smiled as people waved.

"Excuse Miss Watson, can I have your autograph?"

Both of you turned around and saw a little girl around 9 years old with her mom.  She clung on to the first Harry Potter book as she reached into her pocket to pull out a pen.

"Of course!"

The girl jumped up and down excitedly as she gave Emma her copy of the Philosophers Stone.

"And what's your name?"

"Lilly!!" The girl squealed with excitement.

Emma gave the girl her book and hugged her before the two of you continued down the streets.  Slowly but surely a crowd of people began to form and Emma nervously tugged on your hand.

"(Y/n) can we head to your place?"  I think we're attracting too much attention...

"Ready, let's run!"  You grabbed your hand and dashed along the street giggling as you did so.  After a couple of blocks the two of you made it to a average looking apartment building.  You knew Emma came from money and fame and your place was nothing compared to where she lived. You led her to the third floor of your building. The walls were a soft shade of yellow and the curtains were drawn back letting light into the room. Your two bedroom apartment felt cozy but you knew it wasn't luxurious.

"I love your apartment, it feels so welcoming and safe."  Emma said as she took in your home.  You smiled sadly at her.

"What's wrong?"  She asked once she noticed how quiet you'd been.

"We come from different worlds, I'm not famous or rich, there's nothing special about me, I'm really not that smart, my life isn't exciting-". Emma cut you off with a kiss,
pulled back and smiled at you.

"I love you more than anything, no matter where we are, no matter what dimension we're in, I want you by my side (Y/n).

Your eyes teared up as you pulled her into a hug and spun her around.  She giggled as you did so and your heart couldn't have felt more full.
