Hermione had told you not to go overboard on a Christmas gift, but it was your first Christmas as a couple and you wanted to make sure she knew how much you cared about her.  The two of you had been dating since September and even though you hadn't been dating for very long you two had become friends the beginning of last year.

Hermione and the golden trio had welcomed you into their squad with open arms.  You and Harry would practice quidditch together, you and Ron would play each other in chess, and you and Hermione would steal kisses in the hallway and have picnics in the astronomy tower.  You couldn't have asked for a better group of friends and girlfriend.

Hermione was spending Christmas at the Weasley's so you grabbed everyone's gifts, and grabbed some floo powder so you could travel by floo network.

You headed over to your fire place, threw the floo powder in and shouted "The Burrow!"  Within seconds you were in the Weasleys kitchen.

Immediately you were engulfed into a huge.

"It's a pleasure to see you dear! Make yourself at home!"  Mrs. Weasley said as she pulled apart from the hug to continue cooking.  You said hi to Fred and George and then made your way into the living room where you found Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione.  Harry had his arm around Ginny as two cuddled on the couch.

"It's great to see you mate how have you been?" Ron said with a smile. Before you could reply Hermione leapt up from the couch and pulled you into a hug.  You kissed her forehead before twirling her around sending her into a fit of giggles.  You were a good five inches taller than Hermione as you smiled down into her gorgeous toffee colored eyes.

"Hi babe."  She said with a smile unable to contain her excitement.

"Hi love," you said as you pressed a delicate kiss on her lips.

The golden trio, you, and Ginny sat in the living room and played wizards chess while sipping butter beers.

"I think we should open presents now", Ron stood up and went under the Christmas tree to grab the gifts he had gotten everyone, Harry and Hermione did the same.  You reached into your bag and pulled out all the delicately wrapped and well thought out gifts you had purchased.

Ron had gotten you a Chudley Canons scarf since it was your favorite team and it was the first thing you two had bonded over.  Ginny had gotten you tons of chocolate frogs because she knew you had a sweet tooth.  Harry had gotten you some new parchments and quills because he knew how much you loved writing to your friends at home while you were away at Hogwarts.  Hermione had gotten you her favorite book to read, 'Little Women' and she gave you her favorite sweater so you could always carry a piece of her with you.

"Thanks guys, it really means a lot.  Merry Christmas."

Everyone began to get ready for bed and you smiled at the small wrapped package you had in your hand.  Hermione followed you into the room you two were sharing and she sat next to you on the bed.

"I didn't want to give you your gift in front of everyone just incase it was too cheesy...". You said sheepishly.

"Nothing you do could ever be too cheesy babe."  She excitedly ripped off the wrapping paper and tore open the box.  Inside was a delicate necklace with a small key shaped charm hanging from a golden chain.

"I got you that necklace because you hold the key to my heart...". You mumbled the last part and you realized how silly it sounded when you said it out loud.  Before you could say anything else Hermione pulled you in for a kiss and ran her fingers through your hair.  You blushed at how intense it was and pulled her onto your lap.

"Thank you so much Y/n, I'll wear it every day.  I love it almost as much as I love you.  Merry Christmas babe."  She pulled you into a hug and laid her head on your chest listening to your heartbeat.  You wanted this moment to last forever.
