"[Y/n] you're so annoying!"  Hermione yelled as she stormed passed you.

"Me?  What did I do?"  You decided to play dumb, you loved annoying the hell out of Hermione.

She turned around angrily and looked you dead in the eyes.

"Yes you!  You do that stupid thing where you hide my textbooks so I can't study just so I can pay attention to you!"

You rolled your eyes and tried not to smile.

"Hermione, I would never do such a thing."  You took a step towards her.

"Why have you been acting so strange lately?  You haven't been yourself..." She said, a hint of concern in her voice.

"It's nothing...  I gotta go...". You say and walk in the other direction.

You head back to the Gryffindor common room and plop yourself down in the seat closest to the fireplace.

"I need to just tell her how I feel....  But what if she doesn't feel the same and I ruin our friendship?"  You mumble to yourself.

"You need to tell her mate, she's gonna get more annoyed if you don't tell her."

Startled, you turn around and see Ron standing there with his arms crossed.

"Sorry [Y/n] I heard you talking to yourself...  Anyways you need to tell her.  She definitely knows something is up and she'll be pissed if she finds out this is what you were hiding from her.  She likes you too, I can tell mate."

You nodded and then mulled over his words.  If you didn't tell her you'll regret it, but if you did and she didn't feel the same way you'd ruin her friendship.  After sitting for an hour going over the props and cons you finally came to a decision.  You decided to leave a note on Hermione's bed telling her to meet you by the Black Lake at 8:00.  In the meantime you were going to get ready.

At around 7:30 Hermione headed to her room to put her textbooks away.  Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a note on her bed.

Meet me at the Black Lake at 8:00!
-[Y/n]

"Why am I meeting [Y/n] down by the lake?"  Hermione wondered.

She quickly threw on a sweater and headed out into the cool fall air.  As she neared the lake the saw what looked like a whole bunch of fire flies illuminating one area. As she got closer she saw you nervously pacing back and forth with their hands in their pockets.  A blanket had feel placed on the ground and a small picnic basket sat in the corner.

"Hey."  You said shyly.

"Hi."  Hermione replied sounding just as nervous.

"So you and I both know I've been acting kind of weird around you lately...  Well the truth is I have something to tell you."

Hermione furrowed her brows anxiously waiting for you to continue.

"I like you Hermione.  I like you as more than a friend.  I love spending time with you and as cheesy as it sounds I feel like you've made me a better person.  I can't stop thinking about you.  I've had a crush on you since the moment I met you.... I was wondering if maybe you wanted to-".
Before you could even finish your sentence Hermione's lips were on yours.  Your heart fluttered in your chest as her soft lips pressed against yours.  You placed yours hands firmly on her waist while her fingers tangled themselves into your hair.

"I'd love to go out with you [Y/n]."
