"Moving schools!??" Louis knew that when his parents asked him to come downstairs it was nothing good, but he didn't think that they would make him change schools, not when the midterms were just coming in.
"Honey, I know it is going to be hard but all of your teachers said that you aren't doing so well. We just think it will be better if you go to a boarding school, so you can concentrate more in your classes and also try out new things, like art, drama, social services."
"It will also be more organized, have a schedule and not just do whatever you want." Mark entered the conversation for the first time.
Louis is not amused that Mark wants to send him off to boarding school. But his mum? She always got really worried when Louis was out, even if it was to watch a movie with his friends, she called him all night long. How come she wants Louis to go off to a fucking boarding school if she can't send him to the theatre without getting super worried?
Something is not right.
"Mum, why are you doing this?" He asks softly, barely over a whisper so only she can hear.
"Lou..." She trails off but doesn't seem to find an answer.
Marvellous, Mark got into her head.
Again.
"It will be good for you. You will learn how to behave like a man." Mark answers.
Louis has to bite his tongue so he won't answer back, because, what the actual hell??
But Louis knows there is no point in arguing since Mark always makes the decisions around here, so he just complies.
"Yeah. Ok." He answers coldly and crosses his arms. "When do I go?"
"We'll go this Sunday, so you can start your classes on Monday," Mark says with a small smile wanting to show up at the edge of his lips. "Is one of the best schools in the country." Of course, it is, Louis thinks. "Don't fuck it up."
"Yeah sure. I'll start packing then." With that Louis turns around and goes up the stairs without glancing back.
He shuts the door and jumps into his bed with his face on a pillow.
The only good thing out of all this, is that he won't see Mark that frequently. Like that, it will be harder for him to ruin his life.
Louis groans at the thought, and after some minutes he falls asleep.
!¡
Today was the day he was going to his new school. Which, Louis' not gonna lie, it is kind of exciting. He was finally going to be less controlled, especially by Mark, and he might even find a boyfriend. Is not like Mark is going to know. If it is not in the grade book, it is not important enough to Mark.
Before he could continue with his thoughts, his mum called him downstairs.
Sighing, Louis got out of his bed, changed into some black jeans and a hoodie and went downstairs.
When he got there his mum and Mark were eating breakfast with the news channel playing in the background.
"...the first case happened November 4th in Hubei, located in Central China. In the last four weeks, it has spread out throughout most parts of Asia..."
Louis sat down at the table and started to get his food.
"It's definitely something the government came up with to get more money out of the other countries," Mark said pointing at the telly.
