Guilt

Guilt.
A pain never ending.
Constant remembrance
Of the constant pain
That you have left for
countless people on end.

This is how I view guilt.
It starts off slow,
Very quick to grow
And gets as big as you will let it.

It starts to feed
Off the memories
you have left
Of the people you have
hurt the most.

It festers into
Something bigger than
You could ever
imagine.

Guilt. Something that
Nothing can compare to.
It stays with you
For as long as you let it.

Every memory,
Every moment
Spent with people
You have once cared for.

You will always
Care for those people
But the same can not
And will not be spoken about
You.

The care they had
For you just disappears
Into the darkness
That the constant memories lie in
Known as guilt

For those,
Who I have hurt,
And constantly make me
Feel guilty for my careless actions..

Just know,
I'm sorry.
