"Whenever you're needed, they'll come to you,"- Death

Let me start from the beginning. My name is Wesley. One year ago, I defeated a villain known as Milton. He was trying to enslave the entire multiverse by making a weapon of sorts. I of course did not fight the battle by myself. I had help from my new friends, who I had met along the way on my quest to save this girl name Sarah. I met Poofy, my psychopathic stuffed animal roommate, Caleb, a smart kid who always has a plan, and Enoch, an emo kid who's not as emo as you might think. I also met the girl of my dreams, Sarah. She may have been in trouble, but once we were in the middle of battle, she helped kick bad guy ass.

There were also others who helped me along in my journey. I met Death and Caleb's grandpa. We even met a biker named Lefty. His goal was to kill Enoch because he thought that Enoch had hurt his sister. Poofy accidentally killed Lefty, just when he announced that he would start helping us. That was a while ago. Now, my life has been pretty boring. My friends don't contact me as much. Death once said that when my friends needed me, they would come for me, but they haven't. My life was better off when I was risking my life to save Sarah. At least then I had something to do. The only thing I can do now is talk to Poofy. Sometimes, even that isn't very fun.

. . . . . . .

Tonight is the night that my brother comes to visit me for the weekend. I'm very excited. Poofy is too because he thinks he's going to meet him. There is an unlikely chance that'll ever happen. As I wait for Philip to arrive, I look through the photo album my parents gave me as a present. It has photos of me and Philip from when we were little. There was a photo of us playing in puddles of rain water. The photo beside it showed me looking up over a high chair to see my brother with cake all over his face. We were babies in that photo. Suddenly I hear the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it," Poofy said to me, running down the hall to get to the door.

"Like hell you are," I told him as I plucked him from the ground and threw him in the clothes hamper. He hates it when I do that. Thankfully, the lid to the hamper shut when I threw him so you couldn't hear him cussing. I ran to get to the door. I open it to not find Philip, but Sarah instead.

"Sarah? What are you doing here?" I asked, a little confused and excited at the same time. She pushed past me to get inside as quickly as possible. Not the way you greet an old friend.

"Wesley, has anyone recently paid you a visit?" she asked.

"No, not recently. I am actually expecting someone tonight. I was kinda hoping you were him," I said.

"You cannot let anyone in this house. It is too dangerous," she said. I looked at her. She had grown taller since the last time I had saw her. The sound of Poofy's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Wesley, I'm finally gonna kill you. I am tired of-," he said when he stopped and looked at Sarah. He instantly changed his attitude. "Hello Sarah, haven't seen you in a while. You come here looking for fluff daddy?" he asked.

"No, I'm here to warn Wesley that bad guys are on the loose. I need both of you to pack your things. We need to leave now," Sarah yelled. She is cute when she yells that we're in danger.

"I can't leave right now Sarah. My brother is coming to visit and I can't leave him here to go on another adventure, even though I would love to," I told her.

"Just leave a note on the door saying you need to reschedule. Come on we need to-," She tried to say when the doorbell rang again. I moved towards the door. I opened it to find my brother looking at me.

"Hey Wesley, long time no see. Can I come in?" he asked. I looked over at Sarah. She was shaking her head no. I looked back at my brother. He looked so happy to see me. I couldn't just leave him out here.
