CHAPTER FINALE

A property up north surrounding by the most beautiful gardens was up in flames. Curious glances met with the black smoke and ash painting the sky. All the deaths of innocent human lives, the sins and memories burnt in front of the eyes of those who never dared to help. People stood and watched; astonished. The air smelt like burnt rubber, wood, and bodies. Smoke. Coughs and teary eyes. Yet no one moved.

As the sun set and darkness crawled out, drops of rain interrupted the whispers. She came uninvited. Curious, like the villagers. However, her touch was light. Drops fell slowly, waiting for their turns, yet in no hurry.

People witnessed the death of the man that had brought nothing but dread for the past 50 years. A death of a kind where they cried happy tears. It brought smiles to faces that had seen all this from the beginning. However.

Death took another one with her. Someone who did not deserve.

'Katsu! Come out of your little hole you fucking coward!' I scrambled the halls of this hell. Searching every corner. Every dark hole. The little ones ran out. Crying. Eager to escape. After all they were promised their freedom. Just like a certain someone deserved it, however, I was yet to find him.

'Katsu!!' I screamed.

I stopped. Eyes locked with another soul. The face was unfamiliar but physically he was like the rest. He stood at the far end of another hall way. Frozen as I came in view. Shivering. Because on every move they were suppose to be punished. The can in his small hands seemed heavy. Even from a distance I could see the way his chest moved up and down with heavy breaths. 'Finish it and leave.' The boy nodded and threw the remaining liquid somewhere behind. Running to safety. His bare feet slipping over the wet wooden floors.

At that second, I realized the odd smell in the air. The liquid under my shoes. The oddly disgusting and nice hint of petrol in my nostrils. Everything was ready. It was all going to be over soon.

There was a problem.

I couldn't find him anywhere. Lee Haechan. Where could he be...

I begged the heavens and earth to swallow him out from where ever he might be. I was afraid. So incredibly afraid as he might end up being stuck in the flames meant to devour this hell.

A loud scream echoed somewhere. I loaded my gun and hurried off. An opening. I was surprised- there were still places in here I had yet to discover myself considering I was here before. The next scream had a ring in my ears go off. And for the next few minutes I didn't hear a single cry of help or pain whatsoever.

Katsu stood before me, slitting throats of children and maids running for there lives. He was covered in blood. Panicked. Angry. But as his eyes met mine- I smiled to myself, enjoying the very emotion he arouse in others crawling into his body. His body expressed it however much he tried to hide behind his cocky attitude. Those trembling hands and shaky breath. He dared not to move a muscle as I, at last, stood before him.

A drop of blood slipped down his chin to the ground breaking the odd silence between us. It wasn't his. It never was.

The blood belonged to the kids cut up around us. Bleeding to death. Flapping like a fucking fish on the ground, desperate for a drop of water. It was pathetic.

When he finally moved a step back, without knowing I shot him on his leg. Dropping on the ground wailing like a pathetic piece of shit. I walked up to him. 'Where is he?'
