*Lyra's P.o.V*
I hid behind a rock as horror, that was my homeland, became worse and worse every minute. Hisses and growls could be heard all around around me
"Lyra!" I turned to see my mother badly injured behind me.
"Mother! What is going on?!" She looked around
"They have come! We need to go!" She nudged me with her nose as w ran through the forest
"Who have come?! Why are we running" She didn't answer but looked back. You're could see the shadows of weird tall things coming our way
"Go! And don't look back" She nudged me harder and I started to run. But I stopped as I heard shouting and gun shots. I looked back at were my mother had been
"M-Mother?...Where are you? We need to go!" I felt something grab the scruff off my neck. Looking up I saw something I'd never seen before, it seemed to laugh at me as it held something else in it's other hand. I had to escape like my mother told me to, so I bit down into it's flesh making it scream in pain, letting me drop to the floor. I ran as fast as my legs could take me.
Soon the sound of foot steps faded away as everything around me changed as well, I was in a forest. I whipped around as the bush next to me moved
"W-Who's there! Show your self or...or I'll kill you!" I tried to sound brave, but failing. A menacing laugh came from the green and around three fox, only just bigger than me stepped out
"Well look what we have here boys! Our lunch has arrived!" He snarled in my face
"Back off!" I growled. They laughed and stepped closer
"The little rat seems to think it can challenge us! Well lets see how it will do when we chase her!" He snapped his teeth shut so I ran once again. Suddenly I tripped on a something and was sent tumbling down a hill straight into a thorn bush. I crawled out, wincing in pain at every step. My stomach rumbled, signalling I need some food. Eventually I jumped into this metal thing and limped until I found the other end, hitting it a few times it soon gave way and I fell into somewhere, landing on something. I looked around agreeing I'd cause myself more pain then I already when by jumping down So I made my self comfy. I lied down and let sleep take over me.
