One Man Chit-Chat

One Man Chit-Chat is a game where you can have a conversation with someone or something invisible to the human eye. This game is pretty simple with little to no work depending on how many of these things you can find. 

The things you need for this:

1 player

Two Chairs

A dark, quiet room where people won't disturb you

A glass of water

A strand of hair from you

Preparations:

1. Begin the game at night

2. Go to the room you chose and make sure all sources of light are blocked

3. Set the two chairs up. They should be facing each other. The distance between them should not be so close to where it becomes hard for you to sit without uncomfortably touching the other being, but not so far to where your voice has to be raised to speak. 

4. THE GLASS OF WATER AND STRAND OF HAIR ARE OPTIONAL. If you decide to use them, bring them in now and close the door behind you. Now make sure that no one will disturb you during the game. Now is also the time to make sure your room is as dark as possible. Once you have made sure of this, you may begin the game.

The Game:

1. If you chose to use the glass of water, pluck out one strand of your hair and put it in the cup. Now drink up. Yes, even the hair.

2. Now sit in one of the chairs. Whichever chair you want, you can sit in, but make sure the other one is empty. 

3. Just talk. Start off the conversation however you like. If you want to tell them a story, go ahead. If you want to talk about politics or climate change, do that as well. Talk about anything you like, but make sure it is interesting. Like a book that makes you want to keep reading, makes you want it to never end. 

4. Keep talking, telling your story, whatever it is you were doing. Then subtly, trail off. Don't force it, just let it happen. Like an awkward conversation where you run out of things to say. Let it naturally happen, until all is silent. 

5. Focus on the empty chair. Pay attention. Do you feel the presence?

6. Congratulations! If you have done everything right, you'll realize that the once empty chair is no longer empty. You might not see anything but you'll feel it. Something in the chair watching you, listening to your every word. And in rare occasions, the being will talk back. 

Side Notes:

If you choose to use the strand of hair and glass of water, do as said above in step 1 of The Game. If this doesn't work and you would like to try again, do the same steps above without using a glass of water and a strand of hair(you will need to exclude step 1).

If you choose to do this without the strand of hair and glass of water, ignore step 1 and do the other steps. If this doesn't work and you would like to try again, do this with step 1 and the glass of water and strand of hair.

Don't be rude and don't leave without saying goodbye. They won't take kindly to rudeness. Apologizing or simply saying goodbye should end the game. 

Just remember if you do decide to break the rules and be offensive or rude, no one knows the consequences because the people who were brave enough to be rude, weren't there to tell them.
