Félix was always a quiet child, much to the despair of his mother Amelie, who would have loved him to be more sociable. But he was content to keep to himself even from an early age.
He didn't bother to pretend to be nice if he didn't want too and with whom he didn't care about having a good relationship with. He had no friends and he preferred it that way.
Throughout his childhood, Félix was surrounded by the children of other nobles and aristocrats. He found them to be insincere, their manners fake and their conversations shallow.
He grew up with a healthy skepticism towards the social elite and preferred to keep to himself rather than engage in the empty chatter he so disliked.
