As the lock to the door turned, I made myself invisible but remained seated on the couch. I grabbed the remote from the coffee table and quickly shut the TV off before placing the remote back in it's respected spot. Right as I did so, Cielo pushed open the front door. I heard her shut and lock the door before her footsteps began to come closer to me.

She had a black box in her hand along with a textbook and of course her bag. She didn't leave the house with that black box meaning she must've got it somewhere along her travels for the day. I was a little upset that I didn't get to follow her around today. I wondered what she had done and where she had gone.

I needed to make myself known to her today so that I could touch her, I just wasn't sure how without her freaking out again. I wasn't particularly in the mood to come up with a method anyways. It was too much of a hassle that I didn't feel like doing at the moment. I wanted to read her mind but I wasn't that desperate to do it. I'd much rather watch her.

She made her way into her bedroom, placing the box and her book on her dresser while tossing her bag onto her bed. She sat down on her bed and began to take her shoes off, trading them for a pair of fuzzy slippers that were at the foot of her bed. Once she had on comfortable footwear, she made her way back towards her dresser and picked up the black box.

Cielo flipped the box open revealing a book of some sort, sage and red brick dust. I had to stop myself from chuckling as she removed each item from the box.

It looked like she must've gone to a voodoo shop or something and picked up some items. Maybe making myself known to her this morning wasn't the best idea. She seemed to have gone and taken matters into her own hands.

The sage or the red brick dust wouldn't get rid of me. The red brick dust was used to keep out enemies or people who meant harm to you. I wasn't her enemy nor did I plan on harming her in any way. If she laid the dust down, I'd still be able to walk over or cross it because I wasn't going to hurt her. The sage wasn't going to work either because I was still human. Yeah I had demon blood but I was more human than demon, she couldn't really "cleanse" me away from her.

I wondered if she'd gone to Delphine. I'd never met Delphine, not properly at least but I have gone into her shop, invisible of course. Even though I was invisible, she could tell that I was there or more so that something was evil in her shop. She tried to lie down the red brick dust right in front of her counter but I had no intentions of hurting her so it was deemed ineffective.

That was one of the annoying things about being a demon. People who were in tune with bad spirits and whatnot could always sense when I was around. They'd typically freak out and try their all to get rid of the spirit but I wasn't a bad guy or someone they should've been worried about. But obviously I wasn't going to tell them that or explain what I was.
