"I would love to have to have a girl's day," I said upon Ximena's request over the phone. "We could have it at my spot, since X you stay in a dorm and Dani, you're still with your parents."

I could feel Jahseh's arms twitch around me, though I paid it no mind. He was always out doing whatever, I might as well invite my friends over.

"Alright bet, I'll bring food and shit," Ximena spoke.

"We can smoke at your place? I'll bring weed," Dani chimed in.

"Yeah of course. Just give me an hour or two and you guys are free to come," I replied.

"Okay, see you then," they said, and the call ended. I reached over to put my phone on the nightstand and met Jahseh's eye, he seemed to be glaring at me for inviting friends over. I gave him a cheeky smile and laughed softly, resting my hand back on his chest.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.

"Because why would you say yes?" Jahseh muttered, annoyed.

I gasped playfully, raising my eyebrows comically. "Is the demon jealous?"

Jahseh sucked his teeth. "No nigga but I wanted to continue to chill for the rest of the day."

My body warmed at Jahseh's clinginess, not too long ago I despised him and wanted him out of my apartment.

"We still have an hour or two left," I reassured him, laying my head back down on his chest. Jahseh seemed to settle a bit, but he still opened his mouth to speak.

"Yeah but I won't see you until Sunday, since I assume they're staying the night tonight and into tomorrow."

"You're not gonna stop by and see me?" I teased. I wasn't completely sad he was going, because Sunday was movie night so I knew we'd be able to spend quality time together and make up for the time that he was gone.

"I'll think about it," he spoke in a playful voice, grabbing the remote and unpausing the movie.

"You're an ass." I resigned.

"You don't even believe that," he responded.
Without looking at him, I raised my hand and flipped him off, then let myself relax onto him, finding comfort in feeling his arms tighten around me.

I knew that I was having friends over but I didn't want that to stop Jahseh from popping in on me and at least checking in. I'd grown so used to having him in my presence that the idea of him being gone for a whole day made me a little uneasy.

I'd be alright though, besides, I didn't wanna be that one dazed friend that stopped seeing her friends because she was too busy with a guy. I had been through that enough myself, I didn't wanna put my friends through that.
