Meredith discovers Addison's photo books from her and Derek's wedding weeks before she's about to propose. She doesn't tell her that she found them.
Perhaps it's an invasion of her girlfriend's privacy, but Meredith pores over those glitter-laced pages with jealousy, and maybe even a bit of second-hand nostalgia.
The first time Addison mentions it, Meredith is taken aback by her worried expressions. She says that she's not looking back, that there's nobody else, and that she doesn't regret her.
Addison proposes to Meredith in early August as the flowers are in full bloom in their garden, and along with a ring, she presents to the blonde a blue scrapbook that she'd been working on ever since they'd started dating each other.
