When Lucy woke up, she found herself lying in an unfamiliar bed, glancing around the strange room she frowned when nothing looked familiar. The large bedroom was sparsely furnished, with a few dressing tables a book shelf and a bed. None of that mattered though because the site of the large wall size window drew her attention to the wilderness that she could see from where she laid. It didn’t take long for her memories to come flooding back. The picnic at the waterfall, the drive back, walking onto the oval at the park the giant brown wolf, and last but not least Hayden changing into a wolf. But not just any giant black wolf, but her wolf. The one that she had seen at camping, and then outside her bedroom window. She felt her heart rate increase as fear started to take hold of her. As much as she wanted to believe that it was all one big bad dream she knew she hadn’t imagined it. It really did happen. She shifted in the giant bed trying to sit up when a sharp pain shot up her arm. She glanced down and notice for the first time that her arm had been bandaged, she frowning trying to recall where she had injured it only to draw a blank. It must have happened after she had backed out.

A light tapping sound on the bedroom door brought Lucy out of her thoughts. Not sure if she should say anything she laid there and stared at the door, she didn’t know who it could be, or what they wanted from her. Now that she knew what he was, what he could turn into was Hayden planning on killing her so he could keep her secret safe. The door opened and the same women from her house walked in. Lucy wondered if Hayden’s mother knows about her son. Hayden’s mother smiled at her as she slowly entered the room

“Lucy dear how are you feeling?” she asked

She bite her lip nervously not sure what she should say “Do you know how I hurt my arm?” She finally settled on asking.

“I do. Do you remember?”

“Ah, no. That’s why I kinda asked you.”

“I see.” His mother walked over to her bed and sat down beside her “What do you remember?”

“Honestly” She said softly “I’m too scared to tell you.”

“You have nothing to be scared of no one here will hurt you. I promise you can tell me anything, you are safe.”

She contemplated her words, undecided if she should be honest or not. “I think I might be losing my mind.” She glanced sideways at her “I mean it can’t be real what I saw. Right?”

“I don’t know, why don’t you tell me what it is your saw”

She blew out a breath “Hayden is your son, right?”

“Yes that correct.”

“He, um-I think he Err-I mean I think I saw him turn into a-” She let out nervous laugh “I mean its crazy right? People can’t turn into wolves!”

Hayden’s mother didn’t say anything for a moment, she patted Lucy’s hand. “I think you might be in a little bit of shock dear.”
