Chp.6 - Betreyal

Everyone hops out of the cars and walk towards the middle of a camp. A big man with dirty blond hair tied into a pony tale walks up to them. "Did you check them?" He asks. Harriet puts a hand on her hip and said. "No need Vince I trust them and Aris was in the maze with me." Vince hesitantly nods his head before noticing how Brenda was swaying slightly before she face planted on the floor. Vince walks up and lifts up the bottom of her pants to see the bite before yelling "CRANK." Causing everyone around them to pull out a gun including Vince but Aurora steps in front of Vince with her hands up "No no dont shoot please dont shoot."She says. Everything is hectic until a woman with brownish blackish hair walks up and tells everyone to put their guns away and after a bit of shouting and finding out the woman's name is Mary they agreed to take Brenda to a medical hut with Aurora. Gavin carries Brenda in the hut and sets her on a bed before giving Aurora a kiss on the cheek and walks out. Mary walks in and has Aurora explain what she can do and Mary looked at her necklace and realized something. "Wait are you Aurora like the little four year old that used to run around WCKD?" Aurora stopped her rambling and says "Yeah I think I can't really remember." Mary smiles and tells Aurora to do what she needed to do to help Brenda before walking out. Aurora sits at the edge of Brendas bed and looks at the crank bite before hovering her hands over it. Her hands glow purple and the crank bite disappears. Aurora starts to feel a little lightheaded but ignores it and gives Brenda a kiss on the forehead before walking out. She notices Gavin talking to all of the boys near the edge of a cliff. She walks over and sits down in between Newt and Gavin. "Hey" she said softly. She joins in on the conversation catching up with everyone but feeling sad about hen she realized that they were the only ones who made it out of the maze. As they are talking Aurora notices Teresa standing at the taller part of the hill so she stands up and walks towards her. "Hey." Aurora said. "Hey." Teresa replied. Aurora stands next to her and asks "What are you doing up here?" "Thinking." Teresa replies. Aurora slightly frowned at the vague answer. "Do you know what happened to mom." Teresa suddenly asks. "Uh yeah yeah she turned into a crank and uh stabbed her eyes out why?" Aurora says. Teresa looked at Aurora and says. "She had the flare and WCKD is trying to stop it." Aurora looks at Teresa confused before Teresa says "I'm sorry its the only way." And right on cue Aurora sees a bunch of aircrafts coming their way. Aurora looks at Teresa with a look that Teresa will never forget, betrayal. Aurora quickly warns everyone what's coming and that's when all hell breaks loose and one by one everyone gets handcuffed. Aurora was smart enough to tuck her necklace into her shirt before being handcuffed and placed between Newt and Gavin. Eventually practically everyone is handcuffed. Of course Aurora and the boys realize that Thomas is not there and eventually Janson notices to. He walks up to Aurora and bends down to her level grabbing the color of her shirt and saying dangerously low, "Where is Thomas?" Gavin tries to lunge at him shouting to get his hands off her but the WCKD guards keep him down. That's when Janson forces Aurora to make eye contact with him and almost right away Janson saw the same green eyes he saw 3 years ago. Janson sets her down and sees the chain to a necklace and takes it out of her shirt and sees its the same necklace that was little Auroras. "What's your name?" Janson said as Paige walked over to them and lightly gasped when she saw Aurora and the necklace in Jansons hand. "A-Aurora." She lightly stuttered. The two stand in shock and as they were dazed out Thomas walked out of his hiding spot and everyone gets released again and Aurora noticed how a bunch of guards were coming at her so she quickly shot at them with her powers surprising Janson and Paige in the process. And no one noticed how someone had a gun pointed at her and pulled the trigger. After a long battle with Minho being taken Gavin looks around but cant find Aurora anywhere. "Aurora, AURORA?" He shouts causing everyone else to realize the girl is gone. Gavin starts running around and turns a corner of a large rock and sees Aurora passed out on the floor. "Hey hey Aurora wake up. Aurora wake up please." He said desperately He then noticed all the blood and quickly lifted her shirt slightly to see a bullet wound in her stomach. Aurora opens her eyes slightly and says "Gavin?" He looks at her with tears in his eyes and says "Everything is going to be fine your going to be fine." Aurora lightly shakes her head and says "I dont think that's true Gavin." Vince after hearing the he voices quickly comes to aid in getting the bullet out and stitching her up. "She's weak will need time to heal but I'm not sure how it will end up." By then everyone had gathered around and was worried. Jorge looked at Aurora and asked. "Who shot you?" Aurora looked at him and shrugged her shoulders for she didnt know who had shot her. "We need to find Minho." Thomas says. They look at him as if he is crazy. "What we barely have anyone left how do you expect this to work." Vince says. After some convincing everyone agrees that they are gonna save the kids. When Aurora finally figured out something. "I know who shot me." She says quietly. They all look at her and ask who. She looks at them with tears in her eyes and says. "My sister."
