I swirled the pasta around my fork mindlessly, trying to come up with an excuse to leave. This guy was boring, stopped me on my way to work and asked me on a date. I said yes because I had nothing better to do on a Saturday night, and he took me to Olive Garden out of all places. No shame to them but his bland personality added to the bland food made me want to stab my fork into my eye.

"Hello, earth to Aphrodite?" I snap my eyes back up to him giving him the most convincing smile I could. He continued to ramble about some dinosaur scientific thing I couldn't care less about, using his hands to talk about how his team found fossils from millions of years ago.

"Listen Drake...?" I started.

"It's Blake." He corrects, taking a sip of the wine that he had ordered earlier. "Right, sorry. Look nothing against you but you're boring. This whole date has been you talking about your work life, which I wouldn't care about if it was something not as, well boring." The best way to let down a guy was to do it honestly, I couldn't just lie and say I enjoyed every second of it because his personality sucked. "But hey! One day you'll find someone who is interested in dinosaurs, but just not today."

I got up and left enough money that would cover my meal and tip. I was a bitch but not a bitch that leaves a guy and makes him pay for my meal.

I called Eleanor and waited for her to pick up. "What?" She whispered, obviously still having one of her hookups over. "I'm done with the scientific guy, wanna go to the bar?" I ask, checking my back seat and getting into my car. I hear ruffling on the other side of the phone before she comes back with the sound of running water. "Yeah, let me just get them out of here first. I'll met you there." She says, hanging up the phone.

The bar wasn't too far away from here so I sat in the car and let it warm up, turning on the radio as I backed out the parking lot. "Heart throb Harry Styles and cutie Fionn Whitehead new movie Dunkirk is out in theaters now! I mean I feel like everyone is excited for this, there's someone for everyone to enjoy—"

I switched the channel off once they started talking about Harry instead of the actual movie. He's attractive I will admit but he didn't even have the leading roll. Making his ego bigger than it probably already is.

I drove the rest of the way in silence, letting my mind wonder before I suddenly had to slam on my brakes. A car driving way too fast for this type of road cut me off, not even bothering to turn their blinkers on. I laid my hand on the horn, pressing repeatedly on it. "What the fuck?" I scoff as the one in the drivers seat sticks his hand out, giving me the finger. They speeded off before I could return the favor, cutting off a series of other cars.

What a fucking prick.

As I pulled into the familiar parking lot of the bar, I sit in the car for a while to cool off. I'll most likely never see them again so I won't let a bitchy stranger ruin my already shitty night. I walk into the bar after a few minutes, immediately getting greeted by an old friend. "Welcome back stranger." Tyler grinned pulling me in for a hug. I've knew him since we were young, always being the one who stay behind when we were getting in trouble. He has worked at this bar since high school, his dad saying he needed extra hands to keep his bar afloat.
