You woke up, groggy, trying to remember the events of last night. You remembered the cuddles and the kiss on the head, but everything else was a blur to you. You looked at the clock on the nightstand, Twelve o'clock already? Did you really sleep that long? Your head snapped to the door as you heard it creak open, Bo poked his head in "Oh- hey you're awake. I was just checking to see if you were okay. You had a pretty rough night last night."
The mattress below you dipped as Bo sat on the edge of your bed, he pulled you into another hug "I just wanted I just wanted you to remember that, no matter what Lor and I will always love you, got that?"
You nodded your face buried in the crook of his neck, just like last night.
"Good, now how 'bout we go eat some breakfast? Or in this case lunch." Bo pulled away, looking at you.
You nodded once again.
"Alright! Let's get going!" He kissed you on the forehead.
You sat down at the table in the dining room, the smell of several spices seeped in from the kitchen. It was a normal sunny day, but something about it seemed so calming, from the light coming in through the windows to the birds chirping outside, it all felt so perfect.
"There they are!" Lorene came out from the kitchen with a bowl and four plates, she placed the cutlery down before giving you a quick peck on the head "How'd you sleep last night?"
"Good," You told her "but I'm still kind of tired, even though I slept in"
"I don't blame you last night was really emotional. I also just want you to know that you can come to us at any time for help"
"Okay"
Lorene and Bo then took their seats and started to eat. The food tasted amazing, it was some sort of pasta with pesto sauce, but it was absolutely was bursting with flavor. Who taught these people how to cook? God?
"Hey how about today, we go out and get stuff for you (Y/N)? Ya know like books and toys so you have something to do" Bo suggested.
"Sure" you took up his offer, he was right, you really didn't have mauch to do around here other than read or watch TV. You just didn't want them to start spending so much money on you. So, once again you all got into the car and drove to a mall only a few minutes away.
When you got inside the huge building, you were mesmerized by all the shops that were around you. You had only been to a mall once before, it was when your mom had dragged you along to get smokes and beer, the car smelled discusting when you brought the drinks and cigarettes in. You shook off the memory, you looked around and you saw a book store, maybe it had space books in there. You rushed towards it Bo and Lorene closely following behind, the couple smiled at each other, they loved seeing you excited, even if it was for the smallest things.
You made your way inside the book shop the smell of paper wafted throughout the whole place, it was amazing. You made your way through the maze of shelves until you hit the science section, there they were, all the astronomy books you could ever hope for. Bo had luckily bought along a shopping basket with him, knowing how much you loved science, he knew that you were going to get a good few books. He was right too, because you ended up getting 7.
After you had bought the books you started to head to the toy store. You had thought about how much the books must have cost, and you started to feel bad again, you had to remind yourself of last night and how Bo and Lorene told you that they would always love you, but it didn't feel entirely true to you. Just forget about the prices you told yourself, trying not to feel bad once again.
You left the mall leaving with a few lego sets, a board game, and a pile of books. You looked at the bags, feeling guilty, Bo and Lorene wouldn't even let you help out with the bags. It was getting on your nerves.
When you got home at around bed time the guilty feeling was still there, but you didn't dare tell anyone. You didn't want to end up in the same position you were last night. You just kept on going through your nightly routine, eating dinner, brushing your teeth, putting on PJs and then having Bo read you to sleep. You didn't think that keeping your emotions bottled up was a bad idea, so you just went to sleep, hoping for the feeling to be gone by tomorrow.
