Moonlit Embrace

The moon hung high and luminous, casting a silvery glow across the quiet backyard. Y/n sat alone, a soft melody playing from nearby speakers, weaving through the still night air. He sighed deeply, a rare moment of peace washing over him as he admired the tranquil beauty above. The world seemed to pause, and the weight of worries lifted—he felt relaxed enough to close his eyes and drift into a gentle nap.

The subtle sound of the back door sliding open stirred him, drawing his attention sharply. His gaze shifted to the now-open entrance.

There she stood, bathed in the moon's pale light, her silhouette wrapped snugly in a blanket that enveloped her entirely. Without a word, she moved gracefully toward him, settling herself softly on his lap. Their eyes met briefly before his gaze returned to the sky, tracing the silver glow.

"Aren't you cold?" she murmured, resting her head against his chest, nuzzling closer.

He smiled softly. "No. I'm used to the cold ever since I was little." His arms instinctively wrapped around her, pulling her closer, as if anchoring her to him, refusing to let go.

Her hands rose tenderly, cupping his face, fingertips brushing over his smooth skin, delicate and warm beneath her touch. She traced his cheeks with a gentle caress before leaning in to press a soft, lingering kiss to his lips.

The kiss broke, and she rested her head once more against his chest. He exhaled quietly, eyes dropping down to meet hers.

"Sometimes," he said with a teasing smile, "I think you're too cute for your own good."

A faint blush colored her cheeks, and she responded by pressing herself closer, seeking the warmth and comfort of his embrace. Together, they melted into the night's calm, bodies entwined, surrendering to the soothing silence and each other's presence as sleep claimed them beneath the watchful moon.
